Butech flicked its tongue, savoring the sight of Yakov's desperate struggle. It had been observing this human for a long time, intrigued. If Yakov hadn't mentioned the Black Sun, it wouldn't have interfered.
As Yakov's cheeks flushed red from lack of oxygen, Butech's deep voice resonated: "Are you afraid of death?"
"Butech, you still enjoy collecting human slaves. Give it up—he belongs to the Church; he could never surrender to you," Green Bull Sego remarked faintly.
"Faith is such a troublesome thing."
Butech read much from Yakov's gaze—anger, murderous intent, hatred... but not a trace of pleading or fear.
He knew he was going to die, yet he didn't fear it. His fingertips gently caressed the golden ring on his ring finger—it was the ring of the Black Sun.
"Do you want to activate it? I'll give you the chance."
Butech mocked Yakov: "Go on, activate the Black Sun. Do it here, within the fortress, and let's see who suffers the most casualties."
