The first thing after returning to the United States was to meet Aaron.
Aaron truly valued Yarebin's funeral. With current technological capabilities, photos and videos could be transmitted to Aaron immediately after being taken. But Aaron insisted on having Yang Yi meet him as soon as he came back.
"How do you feel?"
"Feel about what?"
"How do you feel after seeing Yarebin's funeral?"
Gesturing for Yang Yi to sit down, Aaron couldn't wait to ask Yang Yi about his feelings.
"Well, it felt very shocking. I completely didn't expect Yarebin to receive the treatment of a state funeral—an individual state funeral, no less."
Aaron nodded and, after pondering for a moment, spoke to Yang Yi: "Did you personally take all those photos?"
"Yes, I took them directly with my phone."
Aaron's hand moved slightly, and he leaned forward toward Yang Yi before speaking in a low voice: "Then did you notice anything unusual about the funeral?"
