Kagaya's calm voice carried over the clearing, commanding the attention of everyone present. "I trust this demonstration has proven beyond doubt that Alexander's power is not to be questioned. Now, as for the main matter—the reason he is here—he will answer that himself."
All eyes turned toward me, the weight of their gazes palpable. Some were wary, others curious, and a few were still skeptical. Kagaya's serene expression gave nothing away, but I could sense his unwavering trust in me, a trust born of his mysterious foresight.
While Kagaya knows I will arrive in this world because of his foresight, which helps them avoid disastrous situations and amasses them a great amount of wealth and fortune, from how he is treating me till now, it seems I am fortune for him.
But even with foresight, it seems he doesn't know why I am here, which is good as I do not need to explain why I will be under Shinobu's and Mitsuri's bed in the future.
I stepped forward, brushing the dust off my sleeves. "Well," I began, my voice even, "I am what you might call a traveler. To be precise—a world traveler."
A ripple of murmurs passed through the Hashira. Even Gyomei, usually stoic, tilted his head slightly, his prayer beads clicking in his hands. Sanemi's expression darkened, as though the idea of someone like me moving freely between worlds was somehow a personal affront.
"A world traveler?" Tengen echoed, one eyebrow raised. "Now that's flamboyant."
Obanai's mismatched eyes narrowed. "And what does that mean? Are you some sort of demon? Or something worse?"
I smirked lightly. "Neither. But let's just say I come from a place far removed from this one. My presence here was... inevitable."
Kagaya, his expression unchanging, gave a slight nod. "I see. You confirm what I have glimpsed. However, my foresight has shown me more than just your arrival."
"Oh?" I asked, tilting my head slightly.
Kagaya's gentle tone never wavered. "I have seen that you do not come alone. There should be two others with you—individuals who follow your command. Am I mistaken?"
The murmurs among the Hashira grew louder. Sanemi snorted. "Two more? What is this, some kind of entourage?"
Shalltear and Lupusregina had been silently observing the exchange from the shade of a nearby tree, hidden by their powerful invisibility magic. I glanced in their direction, a small smirk tugging at the corner of my lips. "Well, you're not wrong, Kagaya. They're here. But I told them to keep a low profile."
With a faint wave of my hand, I signaled them. "Ladies, would you care to join us?"
There was a brief pause before the air shimmered, and two figures emerged as if stepping out of thin air. The Hashira stiffened, some reaching for their weapons out of instinct, while others gawked in disbelief.
Shalltear stood tall and poised, her crimson eyes gleaming with an imperious confidence. Her silver hair cascaded down her back, and her elegant, gothic attire seemed to defy the ruggedness of the battlefield. Her gaze swept across the assembled Hashira, a faint smile playing on her lips as though she found their reactions amusing.
Lupusregina appeared at her side, her cheerful expression contrasting starkly with Shalltear's regal demeanor. Her vibrant red hair glowed like fire in the sunlight, and her sharp grin hinted at both mischief and danger. She adjusted the hood of her cloak casually, as if revealing herself to a group of the most powerful warriors in the land was nothing more than a game.
The tension among the Hashira skyrocketed. Even Tengen's usual bravado seemed to falter as he muttered, "Flamboyant... and terrifying."
Shinobu, ever composed, raised an eyebrow but didn't move to draw her blade. Mitsuri, on the other hand, blinked in wide-eyed awe. "They're so beautiful," she murmured.
Sanemi's voice cut through the tense atmosphere like a blade, his glare fixated on Shalltear and Lupusregina. "So, you've been hiding them all this time? And my instincts tell me they're evil." His hand tightened on the hilt of his sword, his entire body coiled with barely restrained aggression.
"Calm yourself, Sanemi," Kagaya said softly, his voice cutting through the mounting tension like a cool breeze. "If Alexander intended harm, he would have acted long before now."
Shalltear's smile widened, her voice dripping with aristocratic grace as she addressed the group. "My, such a lively welcome. It's an honor to make your acquaintance, though I must admit, I find this reaction a tad excessive."
Lupusregina chuckled, her tone playful. "Yeah, no need to get so worked up, guys. We're not here to cause trouble—unless our lord says otherwise." She shot me a sly grin.
I sighed theatrically. "Ladies, let's not antagonize our hosts. They've already had quite the day."
Shalltear inclined her head gracefully. "Of course, my lord. We are merely here to support you, as always."
Then I continue, "Sanemi, what you said is right; they have negative karma, but they only act if I tell them to, and they are not demons, and they can overpower you all if they need, just like me."
