The group stood in silence at the end of the first corridor. Damon was sure that like him everyone else was deliberating whether to descend or wait for enforcement.
"I-i think we should remain here for the time being," Alice said, hesitation and fear apparent in her voice.
"I think so too," Damon added. "We still don't know whether the killers are inside or have already left."
The darkness, beasts and traps inside didn't worry Damon much. He could deal with all of that, but he feared the killers.
The rest of the group remained silent and looked at each other.
"Tracey, do you perceive any danger up ahead?" Helen asked suddenly, turning towards Tracey. It was clear that she would prefer to descend sooner than later.
Tracey exhaled slowly and closed her eyes to slits. A soft murmur could be heard as she tried channeling her spirit to perceive clues.
