Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: beginning

"You've probably heard of a legend, that of a hero, valiant, with a noble heart and a soul filled with justice, vanquishing evil with his divine sword of light on his white steed. But do you at least know... the story of this evil...? Of course not! The rare tales recounting his exploits have all been destroyed by the church; only his legend endures; from mouth to mouth, generations after generations among the bards of his kingdom.

Let me tell you his story; this legend that your ancestors have deliberately chosen to ignore, not that of the scourge that you called demon king, but that of the one we affectionately called... Father."

"It was on a beautiful sunny day that our story began, far from the silk sheets and hearty breakfasts of an illustrious palace chief, in a sweet home? No. In a loving family then? No more, because the beginning of his life, at least the little he remembered, began in a cold alley with damp slabs. Near... a trash can."

"This young man who had just become an adult had nothing. Deprived of everything, from his memory to his own identity, having only his long and thick abyssal hair to cover him, all passers-by looked at him with a look filled with pity but none of them lifted a finger to get him out of his hell, his days were long, boring and full of loneliness, but the worst of all the sensations he had was famine, it was so intense that he could no longer even think, constantly trying to sleep to pass the time which accentuated even more the mistrust of passers-by.

Hearing voices he would always raise his head to see who it was, perhaps a last reflex of his body hoping to receive help.

"Look at him my heart, another bum, this city is not what it used to be"

"Honey! Don't be fooled, He has all his limbs what prevents him from working? Plus he's completely naked, he probably drank too much last night and someone stole his clothes"

"You're so smart! You're right, he must be a drunk, let him at least learn the lesson." She said, kissing her companion's cheek.

False alarm, once again, although he could not understand a single word coming out of their mouths, he could clearly see on their faces an unquantifiable mistrust and disgust, again people who judge him without taking the trouble to be interested in him, giving themselves excuses to avoid helping him.

But what could he do about it?

End it? Strangely he could not afford it.

Take up arms and take it from them by force? This idea had crossed his mind, but even his body was abandoning him.

The night was beginning to fall; the sky was getting darker and the wind was getting stronger; it was going to rain.

Each of his movements caused him incredible pain, but gathering his strength he finally managed to lift himself up with his hands, barely able to support the puny weight of his own body enduring his torment and the scream of his muscles, he pulled towards him one of the doors of the garbage bin; it was small and fragile but it would do for the night.

One could believe that once asleep his suffering stopped but nothing helped, because even in his dreams his misfortune pursued him, like an angel of death following him even in his nightmares. He was afraid to fall asleep, he started by fixing the stars, connecting them to each other making light structures in his mind, imagining picturesque forms that he compared with what he saw during the day, the most beautiful of all being, Orion, he imagined it perfectly matching the silhouette of the man who was accompanied by his wife. This put him in a particularly good mood, a brief moment of retreat to forget and fall asleep

'Boom fiuu, tap tap sounds of explosions and gunshots were heard, in a chaos of cries of pain and human screams' now it was the turn of the second hell to begin, that of nightmares,

Fear and the feeling of chills ran through his being, the smell of burnt human flesh filled his nostrils. Under his terrified eyes, he saw the dead come back to life, gathering their pieces, all rising in unison like puppets in a macabre spectacle his vision was blurry and purple, as if bloodied, as for the pain he felt in his ribs and on his forehead seemed so real that it did not seem like a dream... but; memories 'this could not be true! Could it? The thin barrier between his conscious and unconscious was cracking more and more each time pushing him to lose consciousness

The next moment he found himself on a particularly high pile of corpses, men in uniform he had never seen before, his hands covered in blood and with... claws? Wanting to escape this reality he rolled down the slope of death at full speed, his foot had unfortunately been seized by one of the men who was still alive, looking at him, his eyes filled with hatred; cursing him, shouting that they were all going to die, his family and him, a band of damned demons, listening to the soldier utter his insults he felt his heart tighten, clenching his fists so that blood flowed from them; he was mad with rage, he wanted to end this man, the very one who had come to invade him at home, and who had massacred his own but a bright reflection attracted his attention in this sea of blood; it was his eyes, as bright as a sunset, sporting fine black pupils.

Those of a predator? Or those of a monster?

Losing consciousness again.

He remembered feeling in his arms a sweet warmth, that of a child, one who had just learned to walk. The feeling it gave him was so strong but so soft, an affection of irritation and tenderness, the kind of feeling that only blood could allow us to know, that of having a little brother. He felt more and more lost, giving in to these darknesses that called him, probably due to his internal hemorrhage and his cerebral concussion, but a voice always brought him back to reason, in each of his dreams; affectionate, and warm, telling him to protect his brother, and to take shelter; that she was going to take care of the rest.

To get him out of his madness;

She was screaming a name at him... She was screaming... his name. She was screaming, Aki.

When he woke up the next day in a start, Aki breathed deeply. Once soothed he was relieved to know that it was just a dream.

But was he sure? Because his eyes had brought back a memory from the world of Morpheus, these golden irises with black jet pupils

This look inspiring fear in all living beings who could cross it.

These eyes Of demons."
