Chapter 715 - Chapter 715: What was the truth back then?

Harry may not brag as much as Ron, but when he is with his friends, Harry likes to show off his special experiences.

Showing off and expressing ourselves is a characteristic of most humans, and Harry is certainly no exception.

However, when it came to the Dementor extracting Voldemort's remnant soul, Harry simply glossed over it, never once mentioning it.

This is completely out of character!

The only explanation is that someone has intervened.

Dumbledore!

He wants to hide something.

Andy's train of thought is clear. The fact that he wants to hide it means that Dumbledore knows about it.

If he didn't know, he wouldn't bother hiding it.

Dementors are somehow connected to the Death Dimension.

This was confirmed when Andy obtained the mirror that connects to the Death Dimension.

Together with the ability of the Dementor...

Extracting happiness! Extracting souls!

Wherever a Dementor appears, light and warmth will fade away, replaced by gloom and cold. All courage and hope will fade away, and fear and emptiness will gradually take over.

In a way, this is the degraded power of Death.

"What is Dumbledore trying to hide?" Snape frowned.

"It doesn't matter what he's trying to hide."

Andy smiled, "What's important is he did!"

"This proves that... he knows something, but he doesn't want us to know."

After a pause, Andy continued, "When I get back, I'll confirm this with Harry."

"What are you going to do?" Snape suddenly asked.

Andy raised an eyebrow. "Learn more about the Dementor's Kiss, of course!"

You don't think I would turn against Dumbledore, do you?

"Professor, I must make this clear again!"

Andy said in a serious tone, "The reason I investigate Dumbledore's secrets is to understand the relationship between love and death through him… nothing more!"

"As for Dumbledore..."

"I don't care what kind of person he is or what his intentions are; as long as he doesn't get in the way of my quest to find the truth about magic, then it's none of my business!"

Having said that, Andy was also a little puzzled.

Why were so many people assuming that I would act against Dumbledore?

Did we have any conflicts of interest?

None at all!

I am Dumbledore's favourite student!

—Andy Collins.

As for the matter of letting Dumbledore's soul explore the death dimension...to be honest, if Dumbledore really had plans in this regard, he personally would already have planned a reasonable way to die.

There would be no need for Andy to do anything.

But if not, Dumbledore really is a selfless saint, and everything is just Andy's own malicious speculation.

Then killing Dumbledore would be a waste of time.

That's why Andy needs to investigate!

Andy hopes that Dumbledore has a plan, which will save Andy a lot of time and effort.

Otherwise, Andy will have to rely on himself.

Without even a single reference point.

Snape: "..."

Snape went silent on hearing Andy's words.

When Andy first arrived, Snape had hoped that Andy would leave Dumbledore in peace from now on.

But now...

Words alone cannot express his feelings!

Snape is well aware that he has been influenced by Andy's words.

But he cannot help but be influenced.

When it comes to Lily's death, he must find out the truth!

"It's getting late..."

Andy glanced at the clock and stood up, saying, "Professor, Voldemort's secrets are very important to me; please take care of everything for me."

"And..."

"If the Ministry decides to use the Dementor's Kiss on a Death Eater, please let me know. This is also very important."

"In exchange, I will help you once."

With that, Andy turned and left.

***

In the dimly lit room, Snape sat quietly in his chair, with an unreadable expression on his face.

After Andy left, he sorted through the memories that he didn't want to remember.

Thirteen years ago...

He overheard the first part of the prophecy at the Hog's Head Inn and was chased out by the owner.

Overheard...

Perhaps it was his destiny to hear it.

Or perhaps... Dumbledore let him hear it on purpose.

Now that he thought about it, given Dumbledore's meticulous nature, would he really have let such an important piece of information slip?

After hearing the prophecy, Snape immediately left to report his discovery to Voldemort.

But Dumbledore did nothing.

At that time, he had the power to stop him.

Even if he didn't want to kill him, he could have simply Obliviated him.

But he did nothing!

After some investigation, the prophecy pointed to two children.

Voldemort decided that the child in question must be Harry Potter!

To protect Lily, Snape turned to Dumbledore.

He passed on information about Voldemort to Dumbledore, who promised to protect Lily and her family.

At the same time, he asked Voldemort to spare Lily's life, and Voldemort agreed.

Then came the tragedy!

Peter Pettigrew was the Secret Keeper of the Fidelius Charm, and Dumbledore knew nothing about it.

This is unbelievable!

Lily, James Potter, Sirius Black, and the others trusted Dumbledore more than they trusted themselves.

Not only that.

If the secret ever got out and Voldemort went after them, Dumbledore would be the only one who could protect them.

There was no reason for them not to tell Dumbledore.

But the fact was, Dumbledore knew nothing about it!

Then Lily died...

As he recalled this, Snape's eyes twitched slightly.

After the death of the Potter family, Sirius Black hunted down Pettigrew and was arrested.

He was never tried and never had a chance to defend himself.

Dumbledore didn't bother to look at him even once.

In this way, Sirius Black was imprisoned for more than ten years.

Snapping out of his recollection, a trace of pain flashed in Snape's eyes.

There are three suspicious points in the whole matter.

First, the process of him overhearing the prophecy was too coincidental, as if someone had deliberately arranged it.

Of course, no one knew what the content of the prophecy was until it was uttered. Dumbledore is not a Seer, so he could not have known in advance.

So it seems unlikely that it was deliberately arranged...

But Dumbledore didn't stop him!

'Did he not know that I was a Death Eater?'

This is simply out of the question!

The second point is that Dumbledore knew nothing about the safe house.

This is the biggest point of doubt.

The third point is that Dumbledore turned a blind eye to Sirius.

Snape frowned and pondered.

If Dumbledore had a plan, it would have been after he heard the prophecy.

The power that Voldemort did not understand is love!

In that case, the first point of doubt becomes invalid.

But...

It's still the same question.

Why didn't Dumbledore stop him?

Let's leave the second doubt aside for now.

The third doubt...

Dumbledore would not have been blinded by anger.

So...did he really not have time to ask even a single question?

Not to mention Dumbledore, even Andy... without any prior acquaintance with Sirius, he became suspicious of Sirius's involvement based on just a few clues.

(Andy: This has nothing to do with me!)

The more Snape thought about the past, the more suspicious he became.

What was the truth of that year?
