Chapter 43 - Chapter 22 KNOW YOU DECEIVE, BUT WILL TO DECEIVE? (1)

Shamshir walked out of the lord's office and encountered a female player whose face was default. Of course, a player's name flashed through his mind.

Shamshir greeted her, but Melon-chan did not respond. Her face was filled with inner turmoil as she opened the office door and went in.

Shamshir spread his hands in helplessness and muttered indifferently, "She's probably not here for a normal reason," and then left the lord's office.

Apart from laying bait for Sagittarius to pounce on, this covert operation made Shamshir certain of one thing: these two definitely have "something" going on between them.

These pieces of information must be kept, even if they manage to defeat Sagittarius's army and seize the golem.

Chandra City is still not doomed; there must be one more push needed to bring Chandra City down. Who knows, it might come in handy.

"Something" is certainly there

"What!" Sagittarius exclaimed in the highest pitch he had ever reached in his life, even higher than when the Mars drilling machine caused a tunnel collapse.

"Well... the ones who were following us yesterday... well... they're my parents," Melon-chan reiterated.

Sagittarius tried to calm himself down and then asked, "So why were your parents secretly following me..." Then he shook his head, realizing that it was not him they were following but to see what Tangmo was up to.

Sagittarius forced a smile and asked, "I guess you got scolded a lot, huh?" Considering the pursuit, it would be strange if they were still all smiles when talking to their daughter.

Melon-chan also forced a smile. "Mom was okay with the souvenirs, but dad... hehe." She decided not to mention the details. "In conclusion, dad wants to meet you," which is why she came to see him today.

Sagittarius responded, "Huh?? You want me to apologize for running away?"

Melon-chan waved both hands quickly and said, "No, I already told my parents that you misunderstood and thought they were reporters. They didn't take it to heart. But they are still uneasy about your relationship as my gaming friend as well as being a friend of my soon-to-be-married friend."

Sagittarius began to understand. Meeting online friends in real life might be common nowadays, and families tend to be open about it. However, escaping at the sight of reporters when meeting an online friend is something that understandably raises concerns.

"Sure, I'm sincere," said Sagittarius.

Melon-chan laughed awkwardly and spoke without making eye contact, "But... err, I only told them you're a famous gamer, which is why you fled from reporters. I didn't mention that you're the Chandra City lord."

Sagittarius didn't get it. "Why? Is it a heavy problem?"

Melon-chan waved her hands again quickly. She said, "No problem at all! It's just that my dad's company is in debt to the Chandra City Bank. I'm afraid dad might feel awkward."

Being several years older and more experienced, Sagittarius advised her to find an appropriate time to tell them, rather than having them be surprised when they meet.

"So, when should I meet them? Should I log out and drive to Watermelon's house now?"

Melon-chan shook her head and said, "Not yet. They are currently busy. We agreed to meet in the game in a couple of days."

"In a couple of days... hmm." Sagittarius stroked his chin and then asked, "Would they enjoy sailing?"

"Huh?" Melon-chan tilted her head in confusion.

Why did they arrange to meet in the game, you ask? Three days later, inside a stagecoach traveling between cities.

"Beating someone up in the real world is illegal, but beating someone up in the game, that's an action scene!" Your father's character, dressed in leather and a bare-handed fighter, has a rather old-fashioned name written in English-Thai script, which reads as "Pirun Maha Vayu. (พิรุณมหาวายุ Thai old style character name)"

Your mother is no less spectacular, having a secondary profession as a summoner. She wore a matching leather outfit with your father and lightly scolded, "Don't scare everyone away, dear. After a lot of bad guys, it's been hard enough for Watermelon to feel good about a guy."

"Our daughter is so beautiful, she can pick anyone! Why go after him!!" Your mother hit him again to stop talking as they arrived at the horse resting point outside Chandra City. "We're here. Behave well and don't make her worried. Remember, our purpose here is to scan that mysterious guy. As long as he's harmless, we'll leave. Don't interfere with the kids' private lives."

Your father glanced at your mother and teased, "What if it really is Sagittarius as Melon mentioned?"

Your mother chuckled and confidently said, "No way. Someone that important wouldn't pay attention to our daughter."

As they got off the carriage, they found Melon standing on the platform, waving with a worried look on her face.

Why is she worried? Because, even though she told her parents who the mysterious guy was, they didn't believe her! And now, the moment of truth was drawing near.

Her parents had visited Chandra City many times for business. This time, besides coming to meet the mysterious guy, they also wanted to see their daughter's new workplace.

"Do you work in the same building as the Chandra City Bank?" her mother asked with interest.

Melon shook her head and said, "It's the office building next to it."

"Show us!" her father said affectionately. Seeing their daughter's workplace first was a priority; other matters could wait.

But Melon shook her head, saying, "I'm afraid we can't now. If you want to meet him, we have to board the ship now. I'll show you my workplace later."

"A ship?? Why??"

They didn't understand, and Melon didn't dare tell them. Her courage was still insufficient. The truth was, after her parents didn't believe the mysterious guy was Sagittarius, her confidence dwindled to about the size of a minnow. She pulled her parents close and whispered, "The battle with Rigel 2 is about to start. Chandra City's main force is moving out now."

"My daughter's boyfriend is traveling with the Chandra City army?? Isn't Sagittarius supposed to have only NPC troops?" her mother asked, puzzled.

In a hurry, Melon didn't listen to her mother's exact words, saying, "It's all NPC soldiers as usual. We need to hurry!!" She then dragged her parents to the horse resting point, mounted horses, and headed for the military dock immediately.

Your father had a grim face, while your mother slightly smiled, as your daughter neither confirmed nor denied that the mysterious guy was her boyfriend. Both mounted horses and followed Melon.

But upon arrival, mother immediately stopped smiling.

"Hello Father, Mother, and Tangmo," Sagittarius approached and greeted them politely.

Seeing a man with a default face come up to them, bowing and apologizing for rudely driving off, she responded gently.

This young man was very polite indeed.

The reason she stopped smiling was the woman in the priestess outfit walking behind him!

The distinctive figure, clothes, and hairstyle of this blonde woman were unmistakable. Anyone could recognize her as the AI assistant to the Lord of Chandra Metropolis!

For many years, this blonde woman had been the one appearing on screen in place of Sagittarius every time.

The AI stood respectfully slightly behind the man with the default face, in a manner typical of a servant. The man bowing to them could be none other than Sagittarius himself.

It turned out what her daughter had said was true!

The young man driving the European car to escape her husband's pursuit was indeed Sagittarius.

Pirun Maha Vayu., who was ready to challenge the guy who drove off at high speed, demonstrating a father's strength, froze solid upon seeing Mena. Despite somewhat believing his daughter's claim that the friend of a friend attending the wedding was the Lord of Chandra Metropolis, when faced with him in person, he was speechless.

Sagittarius saw their stiff faces and, fearing they would miss the scheduled time if they kept exchanging greetings, hurriedly invited them, "Let's board the boat first, please."

The mother startled and forced a smile. She found it hard to believe that Sagittarius could be the man her daughter met in real life. With millions of people in Thailand, the probability seemed so low. But coincidence turned out to be real.

On the large ship, a female player dressed in Sakura pink armor was smiling. Her eyes gazed towards the large fleet ahead that was headed straight for Rigel 2 island and she murmured, "Sagittarius's pawn is Mewku Mewku, just as we expected. Haha... Now the giant golem will be ours... Haha."

Judging by her tone, in the real world, it might be different from the game world. However, the pauses and speaking rhythm, when heard by a group of people having a secret meeting in the Solomon Isles, would remind them of the woman who liked to sit under the coconut tree.

The female player turned around, looking at her own fleet with determined eyes.

The position of the branch leader of the romance of Sakura guild was no longer sufficient for her ambitions. It was time to reveal herself and demonstrate her boldness to the public.

After receiving the order from the guild leader to muster forces for the big battle, the faction in charge of Solomon Island devised this layered plan. And she, who had infiltrated the opposing force, would be the key to victory.

However, her movements would expose her identity... but she didn't care.

With the resources obtained, the giant golem, and the dwindling forces of Chandra and Edo, she was ready to emerge from under Mewku Mewku's shadow and rise up on her own!

The little one lady the way ahead of those with ill intentions, she seemed much more at ease. Listening to Sagittarius' plan made Mewku Mewku exclaim, "Oh!" With his plan, the mites clinging to her would reveal themselves without her needing to waste time searching for them. At the same time, they could anticipate the enemy's plans, as the other party would rely heavily on these mites as a key part of their strategy.

Their advantage was 'knowing' who the opponents were.

Sagittarius maximized this advantage,

planning meticulously layer upon layer...

She followed without hesitation because the 'paranoia' she felt after reading that letter made her feel uneasy, almost constipated.

The stress was affecting her stomach.

How could she not accept Sagittarius' way of relieving the stress?

After this battle, Mewku Mewku intended to use the reasons Raspberry Pie rebelled against this war to inspect all the branch leaders, eliminating all the moles and mites once and for all."
