Alec left the bed straight for the shower, recalling last night. Winter just showed up at his bedroom door, she just stood there looking at him, she would tiptoe anxiously with each second that went by. There it was again, the bite on the lip, her starring gleaming green eyes looking straight into his soul. Each second he wasted waiting for her to speak made her more and more anxious. She finally couldn't take it, she doesn't know why she was there...or what she wanted to say to him, she had no right to demand things from him. At this point they are simply strangers, or more like ' friends with benefits ' but can she even call it that? refer to them as ' friends' she doesn't know anything at this point.
Turning her fluffy slippers to walk away. Alec held her wrist pulling her inside and closed the door behind him. Winter's heart skipped a beat, she wasn't expecting he would do that.
At this point no words were exchanged, no words were spoken, not a single sound escaped their mouths... only silence. Winter reached the buttons on her silk pajama shirt, unbuttoning them and let it fall on the marble floor, reaching for the shorts and let them slide down. Her naked frame came into view, Alec gulps wrapping his arm around her waist, staring down at her as she looked up to meet his burning gaze. Devouring her with one glance, and just like that he took her whole underneath his broad body.
Alec sighs turning off the shower, he wraps a towel heading to his dressing room. Once dressed and ready to go to the office, he stared at Winter who was sleeping soundly...her naked body only covered in silky sheets. He leans on one knee on the bed leaning forward to remove strains of hair off her face.
" Hmm." She moans in a sleepy tone.
" Good morning."
" Hm, good morning." She responded eyes still shut closed.
" I'm leaving, I'll see you when I get back."
" Hmm, bye bye."
Alec smiles kissing her hair and walked out of the room.
" Good morning Mr Qinn."
" Morning, has Eli left for school?."
" Yes, she was eager to leave quite early...I have never seen her excited for school before."
" Yes, there's a teacher parents conference today."
" I see."
" Make sure you prepare Ms Bloom something to eat."
" Yes Sir."
...
Eli sat anxiously in class, other parents will soon start to arrive, what if her parents don't come?
" What's wrong Eli, your dad is bailing on you again like always?."
" No! He's coming...both my mom and dad are."
" AH! You mean your step mom dummy."
" Leave me alone."!
" You're so pathetic, you'll see... you'll be all alone and embarrassed today, like every single time."
Eli clenched her fists anger building up, but she wasn't going to retaliate, she will suppress it and not cause any trouble for herself. They will be the ones embarrassed when both her parents show up, she will spit in everyone's face with a smug.
" Alright class settle down. We will pick up from chapter 10 of our history book before your parents get here." The history teacher spoke.
Alec entered the board room meeting and took his seat taking over the meeting.
" Let's begin ladies and gentlemen."
The assistant distributed a file to each candidate while they set up a marketing chat on the projector screen.
Alec watched and listened intensively as one of the marketing team explained the strategys and action to be taken.
His phone buzzed with a text and he opened it only to be scolded.

" Where the hell are you?"
" Meeting."
" Are you kidding me, didn't you hear a thing our daughter said?."
" I'll be there in an hour."
" An hour, are you f*cking joking? The meeting will be over by then are you trying to make her cry."
" It's an important meeting I can't just leave."
" Alec Qinn, if you don't get your ass here this second... I will make you regret it."
Alec raised both brows, " did she just threaten him?."
He smirks putting away his phone and stood. Everyone turned his way.
" Something wrong Sir?." The team asked.
" You can continue on without me." He told them.
" But we need you here for your opinion and conclusion."
" I have to be at my daughter's school, my secretary will take note and fill me in later. Or would you rather I cancel the whole thing for another time? That's if of course...I will be available."
" Uhm, no sir."
" Good."
He walked out straight for the elevator.
The other parents had already arrived and sat next to their kids in the school main hall.
" Eli dear, your dad isn't coming?." The head principal asked with a concerning look. Eli just stared back at her without a word. " It's okay dear." She patts her head going to the other parents to welcome them.
Meanwhile, Alec's car parked in the school parking lot and he was alarmed by the other car behind him.
" Pss...psss."
He walked over to her car getting in.
" Sorry I'm late, traffic."
" You can't fool me, traffic wasn't all that." She glared at him.
" Guilty, had to pick up an apology cupcakes for Eli. Shall we go ahead?."
" Goodness." Emma steps out of the car.
" You look good and smell heavenly by the way."
" Keep your flirting to yourself Mr Qinn."
Lori walked up to Eli with a evil smile, Eli rolled her eyes with a sigh " this girl doesn't give her a chance to rest, it's like her entire life revolves around her." Eli frowned.
" What's wrong Eli, you look like a lost dog without it's owner... everyone's parents are here apart from yours."
" I'm beginning to think you're a fan Lori, you're obsessed or something?."
" Yeah as if, you just look like an outcast being the only girl here without a single parent."
Eli stood glaring at Lori. " If you don't get out of my sight I will remove your eyeballs and feed them to my pet dog."
" Oow is that supposed to scare me? You might be filthy rich and have all the luxury in the world... but you will always be a girl without a mother and a busy dad who doesn't give a damn about you."
" Don't you dare talk about my parents."!
Eli pushed Lori to the floor bruising her elbows.
" Lori! Her parents rushed over. " Are you okay honey?."
" She hit me." Lori faked tears pretending to be the victim in all this.
" You! How dare you lay your little hands on my baby...huh?!."
Tears formed in Eli's eyes, other parents just stared at her while this woman scolded and yelled at her. The principal wasn't even there to defend her.
" Apologize right now."
Eli burst into tears crying for her mommy and daddy.
" Unhand my daughter's arm... right this second."
Emma spoke with a firm sharp tone, the other parents including Lori's turned their attention to the woman who was walking side by side with Alec Qinn. Despite her being tall and still wearing heels, the height difference was just insane...she still looked shorter than him but surpassed the height of every mother in this room, including some of the Dad's. " Are they models or what?"
" Mommy."
Eli ran to Emma dropping tears. " Shh... I'm here sweetie, no one will hurt you as long as I'm here. Go to Daddy while I deal with it."
She whispered. Eli ran to Alec and he carried her in his arms burring her face on his shoulder.
" Y-you...how is... this possible you're-
" Alive? Yeah...I guess I cheated death." Emma chuckled. " But my real issue here is how you handle a small child, my child?."
" She pushed my child first."
" And did you ask yourself why? My daughter has been bullied for quite some time now, and such a high prestige school as this one I'm figuring they have 0 tolerance of bulling but some kids such as your child ignore those rules. I have the power and authority to kick her out and go to some ordinary worthless school where they tolerate such behavior, not here...not with my daughter."
" We don't have to go that far Mrs Qinn."
" Trust me, for my daughter... I'm willing to reach such lengths."
Lori's mother swallowed, she could tell Emma was dead serious. With the power she has she can instantly do anything, she worked so hard to get Lori enrolled into this school, it wasn't easy yet this woman... Emma Rose Anderson Qinn, can easily ruin their lives without a sweat.
" Both you and your daughter will apologize to mine, this instant."
" You can't-
" Honey, it's fine...I will apologize." She stopped her husband from getting involved. " Eli dear, I'm sorry for being aggressive with you... forgive me."
" Your daughter next."
" Go ahead Lori, apologize to Eli."
" But mom I don't want to... she's fake."
" Apologize, do it now."
Her mother gives her a slight push. Lori was angry and frustrated. Looking at Eli who was still clinging to her father she apologized.
" Sorry, for picking on you."
Emma gave a satisfied grin. Looking straight into the woman's eyeballs.
