Song Qian'ai drove quite fast and, thankfully, arrived home safe and sound.
When she got out of the car, she found her legs were still shaking. She stood still for a moment to recover, then took a deep breath and headed inside.
She planned to stay home for a while and not go out again, at least until this whole fuss blew over... pah, that is, until that jerk forgot about her business. It's not like a grown man would remember such a petty incident forever, right?
With that in mind, she felt a lot more at ease.
Just as she walked into the living room, she saw her dear mother sitting on the sofa, talking on the phone.
She had intended to sneak by quietly, not wanting to disturb her mother, but she had barely taken a few steps when she was stopped.
"Stop right there," Mrs. Song called out to the person sneaking in.
Song Qian'ai let out an inward wail, then halted her steps. She turned around and approached, all smiles, "Mom, what do you want me for?"
