Chapter 410 - Chapter 407: Chakra (Part 1)

"The legendary world of eyes and the saga of filial piety where Black Zetsu's mission to save his mother unfolds," Daniel mused quietly as he watched the intense battle scenes in front of him, a smirk creeping across his face.

In the world of One Piece, an ordinary person with a powerful Devil Fruit still stood a chance of becoming formidable—if they weren't completely useless. But in Naruto's world, if you didn't possess a kekkei genkai (bloodline limit) or some powerful eye technique, your chances of becoming a top-tier ninja were slim to none. Even someone as mighty as Might Guy, who earned the title "Emperor of Taijutsu," had only a fleeting moment of glory. And heroes like Minato Namikaze, despite their popularity and prowess, were still defeated by those wielding kekkei genkai, like Uchiha Obito, who was once a mere failure but became a terrifying force with the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Even Naruto's rise from being a lowly dropout seemed laughable when considering his extraordinary lineage. Daniel had once admired his determination, but as the story unfolded, Naruto's so-called underdog status turned out to be a facade. His background was one of power, privilege, and a legacy beyond imagination.

"If Naruto and Luffy met, they'd probably have a lot in common," Daniel muttered.

Still, the Naruto world was rich with intriguing artifacts and techniques—things like the God Tree, the Rinnegan, and Wood Release, all of which piqued Daniel's interest.

"And Haku… with his Ice Release kekkei genkai, he's practically a perfect match for Esdeath," Daniel thought, his eyes lighting up. "Imagine combining Esdeath's Imperial Arm, her Ice Devil Fruit powers, and now Ice Release from this world. That combination would make her an unstoppable force."

On the battlefield, Naruto was starting to snap. Seeing Sasuke lying wounded on the ground, his body pierced by Haku's senbon needles, Naruto lost control. Red chakra began swirling around him as his body started to crouch low, a red tail of chakra flaring behind him.

"Ah, true love," Daniel quipped, shaking his head as he watched Naruto's overwhelming emotional outburst break through Haku's Crystal Ice Mirrors.

"You know, if I got my hands on Ivankov's Horm-Horm Fruit from One Piece, I could turn one of these two into a girl. That'd certainly settle things," Daniel thought. Ivankov's fruit could not only change someone's gender but also alter their personality and emotional state to fit the change.

Daniel's mind wandered for a moment, imagining the chaos that could ensue if Ivankov got his hands on the Marines' top brass and flipped their genders. "Just imagine it… Sengoku, Garp, and the three admirals, all gender-swapped. That would be priceless."

Daniel forced himself to suppress a chuckle. The idea was so ludicrous, it almost made him laugh out loud. "Alright, I need to stop. If I think about it too much, I might give myself away."

"But seriously, with these two, it's possible," Daniel mused, glancing at Naruto and Sasuke. "Turn one into a girl, and suddenly Hinata and Sakura are out of the picture. Asura and Indra reincarnated as one. I wonder what Sage of Six Paths would think if he saw that—probably rise from his grave in anger."

"Same goes for Madara and Hashirama. Their bond is practically a love story itself. If one of them were gender-swapped, Konoha might have been a much more peaceful place."

On the battlefield, Kakashi summoned his ninja dogs, cornering Zabuza as they tracked him through the mist using their keen sense of smell.

"You're dangerous, Zabuza. I won't let you escape this time," Kakashi said, his right hand crackling with electricity as he prepared to use his famous Lightning Cutter technique.

Daniel observed the scene closely, thinking to himself, "In a clash between One Piece and Naruto worlds, there'd be plenty of pirates getting taken down by underhanded tactics."

In the world of One Piece, poisoning your opponent was seen as dishonorable, but in the world of shinobi, it was just another tool of the trade. Figures like Hanzo of the Salamander, who was famous for his poison, thrived in such an environment.

Seeing Zabuza in danger, Haku instinctively moved, using the Body Flicker Technique to stand between Zabuza and Kakashi's lethal attack.

"You can't die here," Daniel thought, stepping forward just as Haku was about to be struck.

"That's enough." Daniel's hand shot out and grabbed Kakashi's wrist, stopping the Lightning Cutter inches away from Haku's heart.

Kakashi's eyes widened in surprise, but his instincts kicked in immediately. His left hand flipped a kunai out, slashing it toward Daniel's head.

"Nice reflexes, but not enough." Daniel effortlessly deflected the kunai and, with a subtle twist of his wrist, tossed Kakashi aside. In midair, Kakashi hurled the kunai at Daniel.

Ping.

With a mere flick of his fingers, Daniel knocked the kunai out of the air.

"You, stay down," Daniel warned, his tone calm as he casually deflected Zabuza's sneak attack, knocking the giant Kubikiribōchō (Executioner's Blade) away as if it were a twig.

Zabuza, not one to back down, gritted his teeth in frustration as the mysterious newcomer easily parried his blow. Blood still dripped from the wounds left by Kakashi's ninja dogs, but Zabuza stood firm.

"That's the Executioner's Blade, one of the Seven Ninja Swords of the Mist," Daniel remarked, catching the blade midair. With surprising grace, he spun the heavy sword effortlessly in his hand, as though it weighed nothing.

"I saved your life, and this is how you repay me?" Daniel asked, plunging the sword into the ground at Zabuza's feet, his expression neutral.

"I didn't ask for your help," Zabuza growled.

"So, saving you was a waste of my time then?" Daniel mused.

Zabuza merely snorted in response, his eyes filled with cold defiance. Despite knowing Daniel was far stronger, Zabuza's pride as a shinobi kept him from expressing any gratitude.

Before Zabuza could respond further, Haku interrupted, ignoring his own wounds as he hurried to tend to Zabuza's injuries.

"Let me bandage you, Zabuza-sama," Haku said softly, completely focused on Zabuza's well-being despite his own critical condition.

"Well, it's confirmed. Haku's definitely a guy," Daniel muttered to himself as he glanced at the beautiful but androgynous boy. During the fight with Naruto, Haku's clothing had been torn enough for Daniel to see the truth.

Haku's gender had always been a point of debate among fans. With his delicate, almost feminine features, it was hard for some to accept that someone so beautiful was male.

"What are you? And why did you interfere?" Kakashi finally asked, his Sharingan spinning warily as he eyed Daniel. Throughout the entire encounter, Kakashi had been observing Daniel's every move, trying to figure out what he was up against.

In the world of Naruto, all ninja wore their village forehead protectors with pride. Even rogue ninjas—missing-nin—kept their old forehead protectors, usually with a slash through the village symbol to mark their defection.

But Daniel had no such headband. There wasn't a trace of chakra coming from him, either. All of Daniel's strength seemed to be purely physical, which only deepened Kakashi's confusion.

He had faced taijutsu specialists before—Might Guy was a prime example—but even Guy relied on chakra to enhance his strength. In this world, there were no true "physical-only" fighters. Everything was enhanced by chakra.

"If Guy had the physical constitution of someone from the One Piece world, he'd be unstoppable," Daniel thought. "And imagine Luffy using the Eight Gates technique. He wouldn't even need to open all of them—seven gates would be more than enough to obliterate the admirals."

"My name is Daniel Davis. I'm a traveler. I've seen enough of this fight, and I think it should end here," Daniel said, his voice calm as he glanced over at Naruto, who was still crouched over Sasuke's unconscious body, and then at Sakura, who had done little but cry at her teammate's side.

"If Zabuza agrees to back off, I have no issue ending this here," Kakashi replied, turning his attention to the rogue ninja. Kakashi had no personal vendetta against Zabuza—his mission was simply to protect the bridge builder. If Zabuza was willing to drop the contract, Kakashi had no reason to pursue him further.

"Like hell I'm giving up my contract!" Zabuza snapped, his eyes narrowing as he glared at Kakashi.

"Strong enough to do the job, but still desperate for money. Only in this world," Daniel mused. Whether it was the five great ninja villages or powerful groups like the Akatsuki, nearly every ninja in this world was bound to the economy of missions.

"Small-minded people, limited by the world they live in," Daniel thought, shaking his head. "With your strength, you're still worried about money?"

"You don't get to decide for me!" Zabu

za growled at Daniel.

"Well, considering you can't beat me, I think I can," Daniel replied with a smirk, the Executioner's Blade still planted in the ground between them.

---

As tensions continued to rise, the notorious businessman Gato approached from the far end of the bridge, surrounded by an entourage of thugs and mercenaries.

"Still wasting time, Zabuza? You incompetent fool," Gato sneered, his voice dripping with contempt as he taunted the rogue ninja.

Gato's arrogance was palpable. Despite hiring Zabuza, he had never planned to pay him in full. Instead, Gato believed he could kill two birds with one stone—eliminate the bridge builder and take out Zabuza once he'd outlived his usefulness.

"Yet another fool who can't see the bigger picture," Daniel thought, shaking his head as Gato's army of mercenaries advanced.

Though some of the hired swords were battle-hardened warriors, most of Gato's thugs were nothing more than street-level criminals armed with rusty blades.

With an arrogant smirk, Gato gave the order to attack. The wave of mercenaries surged forward, their swords raised as they rushed at Zabuza and his team.

Zabuza's eyes turned cold as he drew his Executioner's Blade once more. He moved like a shadow through the mob, slicing through Gato's men with ease. Limbs flew and blood splattered as Zabuza cut down the first wave of attackers, his expression as cold and emotionless as ever.

"Just another day at the office," Daniel thought as he watched the slaughter unfold.

Despite the grim scene, Gato showed no fear. "Ten million ryo to anyone who kills him!" Gato bellowed, raising the stakes for his mercenaries. But even that promise wasn't enough. Those closest to the carnage began to falter, dropping their weapons in terror as Zabuza continued his rampage.

And in the midst of the chaos, Daniel couldn't help but think: This world is truly brutal.
