The gates opened, and Eliza slowly stepped inside, her feet entering the gate as if she were stepping into a memory. The ground beneath her gave her a strange, nostalgic feeling. The air around them was quiet, like even the wind seemed to slow down upon seeing Eliza, giving her a moment to breathe.
She walked along the stone path. It was surrounded by flowers on both sides. Roses, lilies, daisies, they were all blooming in soft and gentle colors. There were pink flowers, white flowers, yellow flowers, purple flowers, and red flowers. The flowerbed looked neat and fresh, and the soil was dark and rich, like someone had watered it just yesterday evening.
She paused for a second, then knelt beside a rose plant. Its petals looked soft, like velvet texture. She touched one flower petal carefully, like she was afraid she would ruin it.
