As usual, as the door opened, Tess's face was the first thing that came into sight. She pounced into his arms just after opening the door.
"My little princess, look what I brought for you." While carrying her on one arm, Lucian walked into the house and closed the door behind him.
Soon, he was greeted by the wholesome sight of a few women sitting and chatting—Melina, Lara, Ava, and Angelina—all of them were laughing and talking.
Lucian sat down among them and put down the cakes. He looked around, and the three new additions to the women in his family now seemed very calm, despite the deaths they had seen not too long ago.
"How are you all?" he spoke while dividing the cake for them all.
