"Tick... tick..." The instrument's beeping was steady and cold.
In the brightly polished laboratory, it was very quiet. On a bed resembling an operating table in the center lay a girl, with several long, thin neural sensing wires connected to her wrist. Above her head, six probes maintained a rotating silver-blue crystal, its shape constantly changing, sometimes shrinking into a cube, other times growing and extending like a crystal cluster.
With a slight sound of ice splitting, the crystal suddenly took shape, forming a cube as transparent as glass. The inside seemed different, as light passing through it resulted in a slight distortion.
Soon, the girl on the bed opened her eyes, looked at the crystal above her head, then reached out to let it fall into her palm. She sat up, carefully sensing and observing it.
"It seems the method is feasible, but the required magic power is extraordinarily special." The girl pondered.
