[Osaka]
"No—STOP HIM!!"Nighteye's voice cracked with panic, eyes widened in horror as he activated his foresight too late. The vision had been unclear—distorted. But now, the reality unfolded far worse than any prediction.
Re-Destro, already towering from his last transformation, began to convulse violently. His massive form twisted with sickening pops and snaps. Bones shifted. Muscles bulged. Black, inky fluid erupted from his pores like tar. He arched backward and screamed—a guttural roar that tore through the air as his skin rippled like boiling oil.
Then came the heads.
One grotesque head burst from his left shoulder, then another from his right. Then from his back. Then his ribs. Five in total. Each head snarled with rows of serrated, jagged teeth and wild, bestial eyes. The central head, his original face, was stretched into a twisted snarl—half Re-Destro, half monster. His once-proud features were swallowed by glistening black goo, forming a tar-like armor of writhing mass. It was no longer a human body—it was a tidal wave of muscle and fury.
His body grew, inflating like a demonic colossus—five times larger than before. The oily, amorphous coating pulsed with every beat of his massive heart. Six muscular arms extended outward, and from each arm, long black whips emerged—fluid yet razor-sharp, thrashing the air with deadly speed.
And yet, behind the chaos, a shred of Re-Destro's consciousness remained. Eyes from the main head still glinted with intelligence. But that glint was buried under a mountain of unfiltered bloodlust. The weight of that rage, that sheer primal hatred, pressed against the heroes like a physical force.
Endeavor stood firm, flames roaring around him. "Hold yourselves! Don't give in to fear!" he commanded, eyes narrowing as the beast began moving.
Nighteye barely managed to sidestep as one of the black whips lashed toward him—thick as a tree trunk and fast as lightning. It struck a nearby building, which exploded into rubble instantly. Dust and steel rained down like confetti. The very air shook under the creature's power.
From the other side, Ryukyu transformed fully into her dragon form, roaring in challenge, while Crust, Edgeshot, Mirko, Iida, Todoroki, Tetsutetsu, Shiozaki, Monoma, and the others fanned out, expressions a mix of determination and sheer disbelief.
Todoroki gritted his teeth. "What the hell is that?!"
Endeavor didn't hesitate. "Hell Spider!"
Streams of scorching flames webbed from his arms in thin, controlled slashes, aiming for the whips and the central torso. Todoroki followed with Jetburn, an explosive mix of fire and ice, colliding with Endeavor's technique mid-air to amplify its reach. Others launched their own coordinated attacks: blinding light, impact waves, tendrils of hardened wines, steel bursts.
The entire battlefield exploded into light and sound.
For a moment, there was only smoke. Dust clouds covered the sky like a volcanic eruption.
As the dust settled—
Re-Destro stood untouched.
The world had gone still.
They had done nothing to it.
Re-Destro stood—unchanged. Unharmed. Evolved. Five snarling heads slowly turned in different directions, their mouths opening and closing like breathing maws of a nightmare. The monster exhaled deeply, a low growl rippling through the air. The black, gloopy mass of its body shimmered in the fading firelight, slick and alive like tar.
And that's when silence became terror.
--Sir Nighteye stood rooted to the spot, his sharp intellect unable to process what he was seeing.
"This… this isn't a divergence in fate… This is a total rupture."His Foresight had shown him many futures—victories, defeats—but not this."It's not supposed to be here. He's not supposed to be like this."
'What changed the future?'
--Endeavor's flames flared violently around him, more in defiance than control.
--Ryukyu, mid-air in dragon form, flapped her wings to maintain position, but they faltered briefly.
"It feels wrong… like I'm flying toward a black hole."She adjusted her breathing, trying to stabilize."We cannot show fear. Not to the students."
--Crust clenched his shield-arm, teeth gritted.
"It's not just big—it's deliberate."He stepped forward slightly, placing himself between the beast and the students."I'll take the first hit if I have to."
--Edgeshot, floating in thin ribbons, observed every inch of the mutated Re-Destro.
"Even its regeneration is erratic. That's not natural stress. That's corruption."He didn't say the word Nomu, but it was in his mind.
--Mirko cracked her knuckles. A bead of sweat rolled down her temple.
"Okay, that's new. Big, ugly, and somehow worse than every other bastard we've punched."She crouched slightly, muscles tense."Come on then, freakshow…"
[The Students]
--Todoroki took one shaky step backward, his dual elements flickering.
"Our strongest attack didn't even scratch him."He glanced at Endeavor for reassurance—and saw none."Are we destined to fall?"His heart pounded in his ears.
--Iida's usual resolve had cracked. His hands trembled. His engines were silent.
"We cannot run. But advancing feels… suicidal."He stood in front of Todoroki regardless, jaw clenched, trying to lead by example.
--Tetsutetsu was stone-faced, but inside he was screaming.
"I feel like I'm going to shatter if I go close to him-"
--Shiozaki whispered a prayer under her breath, vines coiling anxiously.
"He has become a demon in the shape of a man. May divine light guide our hands…"
--Monoma had nothing to say. His fingers twitched toward his belt of copied quirks—but he didn't move.
"There's no quirk I can steal that would matter right now."
--Shoji stood protectively in front of the younger students, using his arms like a barrier.
"Eyes everywhere. It's tracking us all."His breath was shallow."We're prey."
--Kendo and Togaru exchanged a glance. Kendo's hands were already enlarged.
"No fear-" she muttered. "No fear."But her jaw was locked from tension."This isn't a villain. This is an abomination."
--Awase, the support student, fumbled with the metal on his hip.
"No matter what I weld—it won't matter. Not against that thing."He kept working anyway.
Suddenly, the ground shook. One of the creature's massive whips—like oily tentacles—slammed into a nearby building, reducing it to rubble in one horrifying instant.
Boom.
The team flinched in perfect unison.
Nighteye's voice broke through the tension again, weak but clear:
"Everyone—watch the arms! They move faster than his body."
Even as he said it, another whip shot out, nearly catching Ryukyu mid-flight. She just barely avoided it, scales sparking from the near-miss.
Heroes launched another co-ordinated attacks-
And then—
The beast roared.
SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
A high-pitched sonic screech erupted from the beast, a frequency so unnatural it ruptured the silence and battered the minds of everyone present.
Shockwaves tore through the debris, flattening half-destroyed buildings.
Heroes fell to their knees, clutching their ears. Some screamed. Blood poured from their eardrums, from their eyes. Ryukyu's massive form trembled. Crust's shield cracked under the invisible force. Even Endeavor faltered, flames dimming as the screech pushed against his will.
The sound shattered windows, made eardrums rupture, and forced blood to drip from the corners of eyes and noses. Some heroes dropped to one knee, clutching their heads.
And when the dust settled...
Re-Destro stood untouched.
Not a single cut.
Just five snarling heads. And a smile that promised extinction.
The battlefield was a graveyard of dust and dread.
Ears still rang. Eyes still wept blood. The black mass that was Re-Destro pulsed.
Then—
"EVERYO–NE… HA–KS TEAM… TEAM HAS W–N…"
The words crackled in everyone's earpieces—those still functional—warped and glitching, yet unmistakable.
"I REPEAT—HAWKS's TEAM IN SAPPORO HAS DEFEATED NINE!"
There was a moment of pure silence. The chaos stilled, as if the very world had paused to hear it.
And then—
--Todoroki's eyes widened.
"Midoriya… Bakugo… you guys won."A slight tremble in his breath, but this time it wasn't fear."We're not alone in this."
--Iida stood tall, engines flaring.
"They succeeded. That means we can too!"He turned to the others."This is our chance to strike together!"
--Tetsutetsu grinned, his metal skin shining.
"If those two maniacs beat Nine, then hell—this monster's going down next!"
--Shoji, wiping blood from his jaw, gave a nod.
"That victory... it means we're not broken yet."
--Monoma, for once, was silent—then chuckled.
"Of course they would hog the spotlight. Guess we better catch up."
--Kendo's hands grew massive.
"Let's make it two wins today!"
--Shiozaki folded her hands briefly in thanks.
"They've shone the light. Let us follow it."
--Ryukyu, in dragon form, beat her wings harder.
"Hawks… I knew you'd pull through."She looked down at her team."Let's return that favour. Time to end this nightmare."
--Crust clenched his shield tighter.
"Damn right, Hawks. You gave us an opening. We'll take it from here!"
--Edgeshot, now fully materialized, gave a rare smile.
"He's fast and reckless, but he delivers when it matters."
--Mirko's eyes gleamed with fire.
"HA! Of course that featherhead pulled it off!"She cracked her knuckles again."Let's make it a double kill!"
--Endeavor's flames roared, brighter and hotter. He looked to the team—his team—and for the first time since the start of this fight, hope flickered in his eyes.
"They held the line in Sapporo. Now it's our turn."
He pointed forward—toward the five-headed beast.
"EVERYONE! LET'S CONTINUE THE STREAK—AND BEAT THE HELL OUT OF THIS MONSTER!"
Every hero and student looked at one another. Nods were exchanged, hands gripped tighter, stances shifted. Bloodied but unbroken.
And together—
They charged.
Toward the darkness.
Toward the horror.
Toward Re-Destro.
To reclaim the light.
