Muri frowned slightly.
He found Eiji's reaction a bit over the top.
"Eiji?!"
"Huh?! Ah! Sorry! So..uhhmm.. what happened to Lime?!"
Eiji could only smile in apology.
"Did something happen?!"
Muri asked. Not bothering about Eiji's question.
"Sigh"
Eiji sighed as he slumped back into his chair.
He contemplated slightly.
In the end, he decided to tell his master what had happened to Renji.
Eiji knew that Muri deserves to know at least what happened to Renji, being that he is one of his students.
---
After a while.
"Sigh...."
Muri could only sigh as he heard what was happening to Renji.
Renji's Situation was complicated.
It was clearly the nobles fault, yet only those that are in power and authority could stop the situation, well, that would be in the open, if they really helped... Heads would roll down and blood would flow, so this should just be handled with careful considerations.
He and Eiji could only help in small ways.
They could try to negotiate, but things wouldn't have escalated if that noble's son agreed.
And if they try to use force...
Then they'd become criminals!
As swordsmen of the kingdom of Masamune, they shouldn't use force on anyone, well, as per the rules, unless if it was ordered from the kingdom itself or as an act of self defense.
And even in self defense, you should have evidence that you did not start anything.
And with the power of those nobles... Erasing 'evidence' is something that they are very adept with!
"I'm planning on going to the warrior department tomorrow, I want to help Renji in any way I can!"
"Hmm! That's what you can only do now."
Muri nodded.
"So uhhh.. uhhmm.. what uhh.. happened to Lime?!"
Eiji scratched his head as he asked.
Because of the earlier topic, Muri did not have the earlier teasing mood, so he directly told Eiji what had happened to Lime.
"Well.. it's not that serious, maybe you could say it was a good thing? Or maybe a bad thing?!"
Muri said.
Eiji was perplexed, maybe a good thing, marybe a bad thing?!
Watching Eiji's puzzled look, Muri nodded.
"Hmm! A few weeks, ago, Lime and his team had a bandit elimination mission by the north side of the kingdom."
"Near the roads?!"
Eiji asked.
"Yeah, although the bandits had a lair in the mountains, her team was tasked to eliminate them.
It was just a simple C rank Mission, it was reported that the bandits only had an Elite level swordsman leading them.
But they actually had an alliance with one of the Master Level wandering swordsman!"
Eiji frowned his eyebrows when he heard this.
Lime herself was already at the Master level, and she had three seniors who were veteran Master level swordsman, so a single Master level swordsman should not be threat to her team!
Muri also knew what Eiji was thinking about.
"Hmm.. that wandering Swordsman should normally not be a threat, but Lime's team divided themselves into three, each team had a single master level Swordsman to lead, while the captain of their team oversees the situation.
The realization that there was a Master level swordsman in the bandits lair was delayed because there were about a hundred bandits in that lair which caused the fighting to be extremely chaotic.
Lime and the two other memebers that she was leading was hunted down by that swordsman.
Although that swordsman was stronger than Lime, it was not that huge of a gap, but Lime had to protect her two other teammates from other bandits, and also had to be cautious about the Master level swordsman.
So Lime and the other two had to retreat."
At this point, Muri looked at Eiji's impassive face.
"Lime ran towards the mountains. Even as she tried, her two other teammates still died from the bandits, while she was pursued by that master level swordsman.
She reported that as she ran, she accidentally fell on a crevice as she tried running upwards the mountain.
Because it was a bit deep, her pursuer did not come down to finish her and decided to go ahead and flee, as the captain of her team and the other Master level swordsman teammates were now approaching!
They managed to kill that man.
At the same time, while Lime, who was full of injuries from the fight then another from the fall, found out that she was in a small cave that appears to be once occupied.
There were tables as well as daily necessities in the cave.
Lime said that as she dragged her injured body into the cave, she found a skeleton sitting a lutos position in a mat.
In front of that skeleton was a katana."
Eiji gulped.
"Did she found a m-magi.."
Eiji's voice stopped as he talked.
Muri shook his head.
"No.. although you could say it is... Lime found one of the Muramasa Cursed sword, Souruītā!"
"Souruītā?!"
Eiji asked.
"Hmm! It's one of the Muramasa cursed swords. Although most Muramasa swords were initially created to become a magic sword.
It is said that that katana could devour the soul of any of it's opponent that it kills, and it was once used to kill thousands of innocent lives according to its history.
Because of this, the souls that were devoured by the sword slowly corrupts the weilder, they become insane and kill anyone they see until the sword itself claims and eat their soul!"
Eiji's eyes went wide.
"Then Lime she-"
Before he could finish his sentence, Muri once again stopped him.
"Don't worry, Lime is from the Zenith clan, people that have Blood Sword Powers also has strong physical and mental prowess...
Although if they get corrupted, that would be a disaster.
Her clan would put the effort on that cursed sword. They should be creating a seal that suppresses the mental corruption of the sword."
"But... Why.. use it..??"
Eiji asked begrudgingly.
Even knowing the history and what the sword could do, they still let Lime use such a dangerous swors?
The kingdom had no say in any discoveries an individual has.
Any loot they get, as long as it is not something the kingdom had issued the mission for, the one who discovers any treasure would get the right to keep it.
This was especially so when the person that found it was from a big clan such as the Zenith Clan.
If it was a civilian the kingdom might negotiate or some blinded by greed nobles would just take it outright.
So the right to the sword would be in Lime, but the one who mades the decision would still be her clan.
