Chapter 419 - Chapter 419: Officer Victory—The Dawn of Triumph

"Who's Who's is finished."

Even though Jinbe had a rough start—getting chased by Magellan, getting a hole punched through his chest by Akainu—that didn't mean he was weak. It was just that his opponents were top-tier monsters! As a fighter without a Devil Fruit, Jinbe was one of the strongest among the Warlords of the Sea. His style might not be flashy, but his fundamentals were rock solid. Forty years of training in Fish-Man Karate had left him with no weaknesses.

As for Who's Who's, well, even within CP9, his talent ranked below Rob Lucci. Sure, he had a bounty of 546 million berries, but against a serious Jinbe, it wasn't going to matter much.

The real CP9 prodigy? That was the one who used their tail to pin down enemies before launching a finishing move.

The Fake CP9 Genius: Tail Stepped On, Taking a Direct Hit

"Fish-Man Karate: Ultimate Technique—Demon Brick Fist!"

Jinbe stomped on Who's-Who's tail and threw a punch straight at him.

The punch wasn't fast or particularly strong. It looked like the kind of punch a beginner would throw when first learning how to fight. It didn't even touch Who's-Who! But in the next moment—

The air around him twisted and shattered as if it had been crushed. A loud explosion erupted, and his towering, half-beast body rippled like a reflection in water disturbed by a stone.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

A strange shattering sound echoed as ripples formed in the air and spread outward. Who's-Who's entire body trembled violently, shaking in waves.

But this bizarre effect didn't last long—maybe a second, maybe even less. By the time Jinbe pulled back his fist, Who's-Who was already lunging forward, ready to strike with his claws and fangs—

And then—

He lunged straight past Jinbe and crashed to the ground.

Boom! One-hit knockout!

It wasn't just because Who's-Who had eaten a fake Zoan-type Devil Fruit. He had taken Jinbe's full-force ultimate technique head-on. The water inside his body had been violently shaken, surging through his system. The fact that his brain wasn't turned into mush from the impact was proof of his durability.

Jinbe's techniques might look straightforward, but at their core, they were ruthless and deadly! With the human body being 70% water, Jinbe, a master of Fish-Man Karate, had the perfect weapon.

But against Logia users… that was a different story.

"Good. Who's-Who is down."

As Jinbe stepped back—though victorious, he wasn't unscathed. Following the white dove's reminder, he moved next to Hiyori to heal and protect the princess of Wano. Meanwhile, "Roman No.1" flew off to check the other battlefields—after all, if someone got defeated elsewhere, that would be a joke.

"Apoo!!"

With a furious shout, Kid, sporting his signature spiky red hair and captain's coat, charged toward Scratchmen Apoo—the long-robed pirate with a music note symbol on his chest, headphones, black sunglasses, and keyboard-like teeth.

"You traitor! I'll never forgive you!!"

As the one-armed Kid rushed forward, every scattered weapon, gun, and piece of armor on the battlefield twisted as if coming to life. They flew toward him, sticking to his left arm.

The screeching sound of metal grinding against metal grew louder, almost drowning out the battle around them. The broken scraps quickly merged into something new, changing shape. In an instant, weapons and armor had combined into a massive construct, with even shattered gun parts rolling toward him.

As Kid charged, more metal pieces joined in. The chaotic mess of components quickly formed a massive metallic monster with two arms and a head. Even ruined cannons were incorporated into the bizarre machine.

"Magnetic Demon!!"

It all happened in just a few seconds. By the time Kid reached Apoo, the towering metal beast's arm was spinning with a deafening roar. Its gigantic, metal fist slammed down toward the panicked Beasts Pirates Headliner.

"Magnetic Strings!!"

Boom!

Apoo didn't even have time to play his "battle music" before he was smashed into the dirt. If he hadn't betrayed Kid by selling them out to the Beasts Pirates and leading Kaido to their alliance, Kid wouldn't have been beaten half to death and forced into hard labor at Udon Prison.

His crewmates, including Killer, had suffered just as much—forced to obey Orochi like dogs just to survive. Now that Kid had finally caught his traitorous enemy, there was no way he'd hold back!

Apoo was going to get beaten to a pulp—it was only a matter of time.

Meanwhile, on the other side—

"Hawkins! Just how many 'extra lives' do you have left?!"

In terms of raw strength, Killer was stronger than Hawkins. But Hawkins wasn't a true fighter—he was a fortune teller. His combat skills were secondary. Plus, his Straw-Straw Fruit allowed him to create "substitutes," transferring any damage he received to someone else.

A dirty trick, no doubt.

Two years ago, at Sabaody Archipelago, Hawkins used this ability to survive against Kizaru for a good few seconds—far longer than the other Supernovas, who got swatted away instantly!

"Not many left... Heh heh heh…"

Now facing the massive straw golem formed by Hawkins' "Demon Face" transformation, Killer wasn't in the mood to waste words.

It didn't matter how many "extra lives" Hawkins had—he'd just kill them all!

With a flash of spinning steel, his scythe-like Punisher weapons whirled in the air, creating a blur of deadly light. Swiftly dodging the massive nail weapon in Hawkins' golem's hand, Killer extended his arm and drove his blade deep into the straw giant's waist.

"Heh… I said I didn't have many left…"

"But the real question is—who owns this last substitute?"

Even after taking a direct hit, Hawkins just smiled.

And at that moment, behind his blue-and-white striped mask, Killer felt a sudden sense of unease.

"Ugh—!"

On the other side, the massive metal robot that had been overpowering Apoo suddenly staggered. Inside the robot's chest, Kid looked down at the unexpected wound on his waist, gritting his teeth in frustration.

"What the hell?! Where did this wound come from?!"

It even looked just like the ones Killer had inflicted!

"Don't tell me your last straw doll is..."

At that moment, Killer, who had just landed an attack, immediately realized what was going on.

"That's right. While making you unknowingly kill Kid would have been amusing, watching you completely helpless is just as entertaining."

"If you want to kill me, you'll have to kill your captain first."

"Come on, let's keep this fight going!"

Hawkins wore the smug expression of a classic villain. Even Killer, who loved battle, found himself at a loss for what to do. Up in the sky, Roman No.1 rolled his eyes.

"Isn't this simple?"

The descending white dove caught the attention of both Supernovas from the "Worst Generation."

"The White Knight of the Straw Hat Crew?" x2

"Killer, slash his left hand!"

?!

"Kid's left hand is already gone, right? Just go for it! Slice Hawkins' left hand layer by layer—let's see if this fortune teller can still act like he's got everything under control."

Wait... that works???

"Fufufufu~~ Makes sense!"

Seeing Killer twirl his dual scythes, "Punishers," and charge in again, Hawkins immediately changed tactics. He raised both hands high, fingers slightly curled, somewhere between claws and palms.

"I surrender."

!!!

Tch, typical fortune teller move.

The white dove clicked its short, sharp beak. Looks like Hawkins had already calculated the odds of the Beasts Pirates winning.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have surrendered so easily.

—————

Above the right side of Onigashima:

"ROOM—Command Baton!"

With a flick of Law's finger, Kaido's falling spiked club smashed into a floating rock that had appeared out of nowhere, shattering it to dust. Meanwhile, Ashura Doji, who was supposed to be fighting the "Eight Trigrams" group, suddenly reappeared behind the others.

"Damn it... Still not enough..."

Not just Ashura Doji— even the Outlaws and the other Red Scabbards had collapsed here.

Because—

"Not bad at all."

Kaido rested his spiked club on his shoulder, scanning the battlefield.

First, Luffy, Ace, and Yamato had fought him head-on. Then, the vice commander of the Outlaws had gone all out, enhancing himself with his Text-Text Fruit. With the support of the other Outlaws, they had launched a full-scale attack.

Then, the Red Scabbards charged in, each unleashing their ultimate moves. Some had even secretly learned and used Kozuki Oden's Two-Sword Style.

And yet—

"It's been a long time since I've felt pain like this."

Kaido's defense was just too strong!

His dragon scales, combined with his Armament Haki, made it nearly impossible to even break through his defenses without being a top-tier fighter.

Ashura Doji, Inuarashi, and Nekomamushi in their Sulong forms all had the strength of Kaido's top commanders. At full power, the vice commander of the Outlaws even reached emperor-level attack power.

And yet—

"What? Already giving up?"

Kaido held his forehead, looking disappointed.

"I was just getting into the fight! Don't tell me you guys are already done after just warming up!!"

········· Faced with Kaido's roar, the warriors of both factions slowly stood back up. After all, both the Ronin and the Red Scabbards had deep, blood-soaked grudges against him. Even if it cost them their lives—

"Let us handle this."

Luffy stepped forward, pressing down on his straw hat.

"I know you all want to defeat Kaido yourselves, but—"

"This fight ends with us. Because in the end—I'm the one who's going to be Pirate King."

"I made a promise to a little girl."

Ace also took a step forward. "I told her that the next time I came to Wano, the people here wouldn't have to starve anymore."

"I'm going to open Wano's borders."

Yamato lifted her spiked club.

"This country will no longer be closed off, no longer suffer under oppression! It will finally open its eyes and see the world! If not—then I don't deserve to call myself Kozuki Yamato!"

······· So you're one of those "learn from the West to defeat the West" types, huh? The airborne Roman No.1 couldn't help but comment. Speaking of which—

Yamato using the Haki and combat techniques taught by Kaido against him… It really did have a bit of that "using the enemy's strengths against them" feel.

"Oro ro ro ro! Brats!"

Facing three fighters at Yonko Commander level, Kaido smirked proudly.

"You want my throne?"

"Come on, then! I won't run, I won't dodge! If you want my head, my territory—come and take it!"

If you can, that is—

Even if they fought him one after another, Kaido was confident he could take them all down. But—

Unexpected events always arrive uninvited!

On the other side of Onigashima, Big Mom's expression suddenly changed mid-battle! At the same time, her eldest son Perospero, who was restraining "Diamond" Jozu with sticky syrup, also froze—because:

A book page in his hands started shaking violently!

It was created by their 19th sibling, Charlotte Mondor, with his Book-Book Fruit powers. Perospero quickly pulled it out and saw a short, hurried message scribbled on the page.

"Family in danger, return immediately!!!!"

?! "Mama—"

As Perospero lifted his head to look at Big Mom, she had already dodged past Roman's attack. Her massive figure turned and charged toward her children, who were locked in battle with Whitebeard's commanders.

"Go!!"

Blackbeard finally made his move, huh? The others were still confused, but the tall and ever-perceptive Roman's eyes gleamed.

So Burgess really didn't let him down. He successfully lured the Blackbeard Pirates toward Whole Cake Island. If Big Mom didn't get there fast enough, her home was as good as gone!

With that—Victory had already started to smile upon the Straw Hat Crew.
