Bolton immediately stood up and looked at Sandler, saying:
"John, this isn't what we agreed upon. You've already..."
Earlier, he offered Sandler £7,000 plus a 4% stake in Boulton-Watt Company to persuade him to switch jobs.
Sandler hurriedly signaled to his cousin Franka. He was only good with technology, but to successfully execute the task assigned by the Crown Prince, he needed experience in company management and excellent speaking skills. Hence, the Intelligence Bureau arranged a "cousin" to accompany him to England.
Franka immediately responded:
"Forgive my directness, my cousin and I gave up favorable conditions in France to return to England not just for a little money, but for a truly personal business.
"And considering my cousin's previous experiences..."
He glanced vaguely at Watt: "Without enough shares, my cousin finds it difficult to secure his future."
Bolton sighed upon hearing this.
