Chapter 318 - Chapter 318: The Wedding Begins

The next morning, Galette led Stussy and Carl to the wedding venue.

The wedding site was a massive garden adorned with white tables and chairs, creating a unique and elegant atmosphere.

After guiding Stussy and Carl to their designated seats, Galette turned to Stussy and said,

"You can wait here for the wedding to start. I need to join my siblings to greet Mama and Whitebeard when they arrive. There's also a group of very important guests arriving soon."

With that, Galette turned to leave, but Carl's question made her pause.

"Miss Galette, who are these important guests you mentioned?"

Galette glanced back at Carl and replied,

"The leader of the Revolutionary Army, Monkey D. Dragon."

Hearing Dragon's name, the corners of Carl's mouth curved upward beneath his mask. He nodded and said,

"That's certainly someone important."

Galette couldn't see Carl's expression, but she guessed he must be showing a shocked face. She hesitated before gently warning,

"Today is different from last night. Don't act impulsively, or you'll die!"

Carl turned his head toward where Drug Peclo was seated. The man had been observing him from afar, but as soon as Carl looked his way, Drug Peclo quickly lowered his head, clearly intimidated.

Seeing this, Galette said nothing more and went to join Poire and the others, soon disappearing at the entrance.

Carl sat back in his chair, closed his eyes, and waited quietly for the ceremony to begin.

Meanwhile, in a pink room,

Brûlée finished arranging Chiffon's hair. After examining her work, she asked softly,

"Chiffon, are you satisfied?"

Chiffon's face betrayed no joy. She gazed at her reflection and sighed.

"Does it even matter? I just want this wedding to be over quickly."

Among the siblings in the Charlotte family, Brûlée was closest to Chiffon and Lola. Only with them did she show her true emotions.

Brûlée pursed her lips and said hesitantly,

"Actually... you don't want to marry Teach, do you?"

Chiffon's lips twisted into a bitter smile.

"What do you think? I've never even met him before today. I don't know what kind of person he is, but now I'm being forced to marry him. I have no choice."

Brûlée sighed.

"That's why I really admire Lola's courage back then."

Chiffon turned to look at her.

"Brûlée, if Mama arranged for you to marry someone you've never met, what would you do?"

Brûlée hesitated, then lowered her voice.

"I don't have Lola's courage, so I'd probably follow Mama's orders."

Hearing this, Chiffon felt a pang of disappointment but also sympathy for her sister.

Unlike her, Brûlée had the looks to pursue her own happiness. Yet she, too, was likely to face a similar fate.

Chiffon reached out to pat Brûlée's head, her heart heavy with worry for her sister's future.

Their solemn moment was interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Lady Chiffon, the wedding is about to begin. Please proceed to the venue."

Chiffon sighed in resignation, then left the room with Brûlée by her side.

...

At the park,

The prominent figures of both Big Mom's Pirates and Whitebeard's crew had all taken their places. The Revolutionary Army, led by Dragon, stood on Whitebeard's side.

Alongside Dragon were Chief of Staff Sabo and Northern Army Commander Karasu, flanking him like loyal guardians.

Galette stood among her siblings, stealing glances toward Carl. Seeing him sitting quietly with his head lowered, she breathed a small sigh of relief.

The Charlotte family busied themselves hosting, guiding Whitebeard's commanders and Revolutionary officers to their seats.

At the main table sat the three leaders—Whitebeard, Big Mom, and Dragon—who were at the center of attention.

After ensuring the arrangements, Galette veered off in a different direction.

"Galette, where are you going?" Katakuri called out, noticing her deviation.

Galette stopped and turned back with a calm expression.

"Katakuri, I had a good chat with Miss Stussy last night. I'd like to sit with her for now."

Katakuri nodded, seeing no issue with her explanation.

Galette's actions, however, didn't go unnoticed by Brûlée and Poire, who exchanged knowing smiles.

Stussy looked up as Galette approached and smiled.

"Miss Galette, will you be sitting here?"

Carl suddenly raised his head and said,

"I thought you weren't coming."

Galette's expression stiffened before she replied coldly,

"Do you think I want to be here? I'm just worried you'll cause trouble again like last night. Someone has to keep an eye on you!"

With that, she sat down beside Carl.

Carl chuckled softly, pointing toward Dragon seated with Whitebeard and Big Mom.

"So that's Monkey D. Dragon?"
