Chapter 302 - Chapter 302: This Throne Might Just Be Mine!

No, I honestly have no objections.

Reshiram stood aloof and proud behind Dylan, his deep blue eyes calm and emotionless. His elegant figure looked like a living work of art.

To him, this rainbow-colored Ghetsis was just noisy.

What a joke. Didn't they know he was the good-looking one of the family? Did he really need to fight?

He only needed to be responsible for looking beautiful. As for fighting and killing, that was the other brothers' job. He was the beloved little brother in Dylan's family, okay?

"So that's how it is… Looks like Mr. Ghetsis isn't convinced."

Hearing this, Dylan paused thoughtfully. It seemed that this rainbow-colored Mr. Ghetsis wasn't too happy about how his Zekrom had been defeated by Mewtwo.

"In that case, let's try this."

Dylan nodded and opened another Pokéball.

"Roaaar—!"

The deafening roar of the strongest dragon on land shook the air, bringing with it a fierce and icy chill.

Rainbow Ghetsis was stunned—was that Kyurem, the Ice Dragon?!

Just who was this kid?

Even though he ruled his own world, even he didn't dare provoke Kyurem.

Because sending Zekrom against Kyurem was basically suicide.

"Kyurem, can you fuse with that black dragon?"

Dylan gave Rainbow Ghetsis a polite, friendly smile, then turned to Kyurem.

"We share the same origin, but we're still somewhat different. It's worth a try."

Kyurem's terrifying golden eyes fixed on the battered, half-buried Zekrom. A deep telepathic voice rang out.

"Then go ahead and eat him," Dylan said without hesitation.

"Wait! Young man!" Rainbow Ghetsis panicked. Of course he understood what Dylan meant.

This couldn't be allowed!

"I think we can talk this through!" Rainbow Ghetsis couldn't accept losing Zekrom. Without him, how could he realize his ambitions?

Never mind liberating all the worlds—without Zekrom, he wouldn't even be safe returning to his own.

"Shhh~ Don't worry, Mr. Ghetsis." Dylan raised a finger to his lips.

"Could you please be quiet now? Otherwise my Mewtwo might get upset." Dylan tilted his head, smiling like a gentle breeze.

But Rainbow Ghetsis felt an icy chill crawl up his spine—Mewtwo Y was already watching him from midair, eyes locked on him without him noticing.

Rainbow Ghetsis' face twisted in fear, not daring to make a move. That terrifying Mewtwo Y could probably tear him apart with a flick of psychic power.

"That's more like it. We'll talk later. For now…" Dylan grinned and looked at Kyurem.

"Alright then—go ahead, Kyurem."

"Roaaar—!"

Kyurem raised his head and roared. Light flared at the tips of his icy wings. Beams of light shot out like lightning, flying straight toward the weakened Zekrom.

Zekrom sensed the beams approaching. Of course he knew what they were, and he immediately tried to get up and escape.

But he still couldn't move! An invisible force, heavy as a mountain, pinned him down—Mewtwo Y's psychic power!

The beams struck Zekrom, digging into his body. He let out a pained growl as his massive black form was dragged rapidly toward Kyurem.

Under Rainbow Ghetsis' darkening expression, Zekrom was slowly wrapped in light, shrinking until he became a glowing orb that sank into Kyurem's body.

A powerful shockwave erupted from Kyurem's form, black-and-blue lightning crackling around him. His shape began to shift rapidly within the storm of energy.

Seeing this, Reshiram couldn't help swallowing hard, instinctively backing away a few steps to stay far from Kyurem.

He was worried Kyurem might get too carried away… and try to "eat" him too.

"Roaaar—!"

A deep, dominating roar tore through the sky. Dark Kyurem emerged from the light and landed heavily on the ground.

His intense aura spread out wildly like a storm, and tangible white frost drifted from his body.

"Not bad."

Dylan looked at the new Dark Kyurem with satisfaction. There was no doubt—Kyurem was much stronger now than before.

Though he'd been able to shift into Dark Kyurem before, he hadn't actually devoured a black dragon. That form had always been imperfect.

Now that he'd truly fused with Zekrom, it was only natural that his power had increased dramatically.

A gift-wrapped Zekrom—how could he not accept?

"..."

Watching his Zekrom get forcibly fused, Rainbow Ghetsis' face turned completely black.

But Dylan didn't care at all.

"How do you feel, Kyurem?"

"Excellent, Dylan. Let me devour the white dragon too. If I return to my original, complete Dragon God form, I can surely reach a whole new level," Dark Kyurem said with excitement through his deep mental voice.

He felt amazing—so this was what fusion felt like!

Unable to resist, he turned his golden eyes toward the pretty white dragon. Reshiram's feathers stood on end.

He glared angrily, puffing up with indignation, but his body betrayed him—he ducked behind Dylan, even though Dylan was way too small to actually hide him.

"What do you think, Reshiram?" Dylan asked with a laugh, glancing back at him.

"No way! That's not okay! Dylan, you're supposed to be my hero!"

Reshiram was furious. This ice dragon was insatiable! He had already "eaten" a black dragon, and now he was eyeing his body too?

"What are you scared of? We've got the Gene Contract. It's not like you can't come back out afterward."

Dark Kyurem couldn't hold it in. This white dragon was just too real—real cowardly.

Kyurem was almost embarrassed to be related to him. They came from the same origin, after all.

Since they were both Dylan's partners, Kyurem knew Dylan wouldn't actually let him devour Reshiram, but temporary fusion? Totally doable.

Just like how Necrozma could fuse with Lunala to become Dawn Wings form, then go further into its ultimate form.

He could fuse with Reshiram and enter the true Flame White form—and with the Gene Contract, they could always separate again.

Now that he had already fused with Zekrom, if he added Reshiram to the mix, his chances of returning to his original form—the true Dragon God of Unova—were very high!

To become Dragon God Kyurem… This big brother's throne? I might just be able to take it!

"..." Reshiram hesitated. Kyurem wasn't wrong, technically. But just the thought of entering Kyurem's body made his whole being squirm in discomfort.

He wasn't like that shameless bat Lunala, who went from resisting fusion to being proud of it.

"Forget it. We'll try it another time." Dylan smoothed things over and turned to Rainbow Ghetsis.

"Mr. Ghetsis, sorry to keep you waiting. Now, may I ask you to hand over all your Pokémon?"

Dylan was still as courteous as ever.

After all, unlike the Ghetsis of this world, the bosses of Team Rainbow Rocket were all Champion-level Trainers.

Even without Zekrom, Rainbow Ghetsis still had strong Pokémon. They couldn't let him keep them.

With a mind like his, he'd definitely cause trouble.

But upon hearing Dylan's request, Rainbow Ghetsis' face fell. Without Pokémon, wouldn't he be completely at someone else's mercy?

No way would he accept being so vulnerable.

"Young man! You're going too far!" Rainbow Ghetsis growled, barely holding back his rage.

"Too far? I don't think so." Dylan chuckled lightly.

He knew Ghetsis wouldn't hand them over willingly—but that was fine.

"Mewtwo."

Mewtwo Y vanished in a flash, and before Rainbow Ghetsis could react, the psychic Pokémon was right in front of him.

Crap!

Rainbow Ghetsis realized too late that something was wrong. Mewtwo Y's glowing blue eyes locked onto him, and his own gaze turned dazed.

Hypnosis.

Five Pokéballs floated from Rainbow Ghetsis and drifted over to Dylan.

Dylan took out a box and placed them inside. Now, Ghetsis had no means of resistance.

"Big brother, who is this guy?" Lillie asked, staring at the now-hypnotized Rainbow Ghetsis in confusion.

She had her suspicions, but it was still hard to believe.

"A parallel world's Ghetsis, most likely. He probably came here to invade our world." Dylan looked at the dazed man standing in place.

"You guys should realize it now—this universe is vast. There are parallel worlds. Maybe there's one where you, Lillie, are going to school with a bunch of friends."

Dylan smiled gently. The parallel timelines in the Pokémon universe really were a mystery.

"Eh?" Lillie blinked in surprise.

"Good thing you intercepted him, Dylan. If he'd gotten loose with Zekrom, it would've been a real disaster."

Blue frowned slightly. Dylan had taken down Rainbow Ghetsis with ease, but that didn't mean Ghetsis was weak.

He was, after all, a Champion-level Trainer with Zekrom. If he'd slipped into the real world and acted from the shadows, he'd have been a major threat.

"Exactly." Lusamine nodded in agreement.

"This matter really does need to be taken seriously. There may be others who use Ultra Space to come to our world."

Dylan considered the situation. Since Rainbow Ghetsis came through first, Rainbow Giovanni and the others were bound to follow.

Someone would need to keep an eye on Ultra Space. If they really did arrive, Dylan wouldn't be afraid—but finding them once they went into hiding would be difficult.

No rushing this. Compared to Team Rainbow Rocket, Dylan was more concerned about this world's Necrozma.

If he could capture Necrozma, then with both Dawn Wings and Dusk Mane forms, he'd be set.
