The truck driver found it very strange. He had been driving steadily all along, without changing lanes or braking suddenly, yet this Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan just collided into him.
Now, the sedan was stuck under the truck, almost fixed in place. Even though the truck was high enough, the Mercedes sedan wasn't particularly low in height either.
However, he guessed that the driver and passengers inside were probably in dire straits.
The truck driver didn't dare run, nor could he. Besides, he knew he hadn't violated any regulations, so most of the responsibility should fall on the sedan that rear-ended and crashed in, getting stuck under the truck.
After the truck's two drivers, the main and the co-driver, called the police, they waited on the emergency lane for the truck and rescue personnel to arrive.
Since they weren't far from the city, just more than ten kilometers out, a nearby traffic police car arrived after receiving the report.
