"La la la, la la la, I'm the news vendor..."
A small figure, carrying a bamboo basket, sang a crisp song while skipping down the street at night.
A Tentacle Monster with an eye imprint on its forehead crawled out of the alley, extending a sharp-clawed hand, intending to break into a house and snatch someone away.
But it suddenly saw the small figure, shivered violently, and shrank back.
However, the little creature didn't let it go but instead skipped after it as if playing a game.
After a short chase, the Tentacle Monster reached a plaza.
The little creature grinned, revealing sharp teeth. He didn't like killing because he believed every being had a reason for existence, even demons who reeked of sulfur.
So, he guided others to kill demons but wouldn't do it himself.
But this kind of tentacle monster was an exception; they weren't natural creatures but slaughtering machines bred, a blasphemy to nature.
So the little creature wanted to eliminate it upon seeing it.
