Lilith slowly raised her head and there they were.
Lia.
Wearing soft peach tones, one hand over her belly like the world needed to be reminded of her pregnancy. Standing beside her was a woman Lilith didn't know—tall, striking, with long Balck hair and beautiful features. Her makeup was flawless, her dress designer. Her entire presence screamed "I'm someone important."
Their eyes met for a second.
And Lia, like a perfectly rehearsed actress, gave a small smile and turned to her companion.
"Did you see that woman in black?" she asked softly, her voice all sweetness. "She was my friend once. Can we go greet her?"
The other woman, Sofia, frowned slightly, her sharp eyes scanning Lilith from head to toe.
"Are you sure she's your friend, Lia?" Sofia asked, her voice smooth but firm. "You're pregnant, and she hasn't visited you once. That doesn't sound like someone who cares."
