"You smell so good," he groaned, his hands sliding to her hips, fingers pressing into her dress as if he could touch her skin through the fabric. "You look like temptation itself. How can I watch you leave like this? What if someone else sees you and wants what's mine?"
Lilith let out a soft laugh, breathless, eyes half-lidded as he turned her in his arms. Now they were face to face, barely a hair's width apart. He held her chin gently, tilting her head up.
"Nobody can have me," she murmured, her eyes meeting his — deep and bright, so full of dark longing. "You know that."
Gray's lips curved in a dangerous, hungry smile. He kissed her then — not soft, not slow, but deep and demanding. His tongue teased hers, stealing her breath, his hands roaming down her back, over the curve of her hips, pulling her tighter against him.
