The next day, Sheng Ning'an finished school and left the building, pulling her deskmate along to buy some cake.
Her mom loved the cakes from the shop near the school, so she often picked up a piece for her after school.
"An'an!"
As they were walking down the street, Sheng Ning'an's sleeve was suddenly tugged by her deskmate.
"What's wrong?" Sheng Ning'an looked towards her deskmate.
The latter was looking in a particular direction and said, "I just saw that lady over there staring at you. Do you know her?"
Following her deskmate's gaze, Sheng Ning'an saw, indeed, a lady sitting inside the milk tea shop opposite the school. She was wearing sunglasses even though it was broad daylight, which looked quite odd.
"You can tell she's watching me just because she's wearing sunglasses? Could it be you're overthinking it?"
