Ian stretched the card toward Tobias, who began trembling as soon as he got a clearer look.
"How could this be? Impossible..." Tobias sputtered, stepping back unconsciously, unwilling to take the card from Ian's hand.
Shirley and the ash-blonde woman were caught off guard by Tobias's sudden reaction.
They stared at the card like it was a dangerous spell and instinctively stepped back, mimicking his actions.
Ian sighed, exasperated. His arm was going numb from holding it out, so he retracted it.
"It seems you're familiar with the potion master grade card," Ian said coolly. At his indifferent tone, Tobias instantly dropped to his knees, his pride vanishing without a trace.
"P-P-Please forgive me… I didn't realise... I failed to recognise an unknown grade master like yourself," Tobias stammered, tears already streaming down his face as he crawled toward Ian.
"Gasp!"
Everyone around them was shocked by Tobias's words. An unknown grade master was in their midst.
