EVA'S POV
The lounge lighting was low and golden, casting a soft glow over the marble floors and velvet chairs. Jinman sat beside me on the plush couch, his thigh brushing against mine, our fingers still tangled like neither of us wanted to let go.
We'd spent the entire day in a dream. Coffee runs that turned into hand-holding strolls through hidden alleys. A stop at a tiny bookstore where he insisted on picking out a poetry book in Korean and reading it to me, his voice a gentle lullaby. Laughter over street food. Kisses when no one was looking. Or when everyone was. We didn't care.
Now, we were here, close again. So close.
"You make the world quieter," I whispered, leaning into his shoulder.
He turned to me slowly, his arm resting on the back of the couch, curling around me protectively. "You make it louder," he said, smirking, "but only in the good ways."
I smiled. "How?"
"You make me want more than just getting by. You make me want… everything."
