Chapter 25 - [25] Wrath Route

-3rd POV-

Jing Yuan watched silently in amusement from beside the Monkey King's throne. He had been quiet the whole time so as to let the king have some of his... fun?

Yes, fun!

The human before them was something that none of them had seen before. Thus, he knew that he should just stay back and watch quietly at the beginning of their interaction.

Chuckling to himself, Jing Yuan spoke as he walked towards the two bonding men and the irritated woman: "It is a pleasure to meet you, Meliodas. I am Jing Yuan, commander of the cloud knights here at the Xianzhou Luofu." The tiger-eared Adeptus introduced himself.

'So, this IS the Xianxhou Luofu, ' Meliodas thought, as hearing the words coming out of Jing Yuan was the only confirmation he needed.

"Mhm, just call me Meliodas" He responded, shaking Jing Yuan's hand.

"By the way, Meliodas..." Wukong suddenly called him out.

Turning his head back to the overpowered monkey, Meliodas replied, "Yes...?"

He shifted nervously, wondering what he was going to say. So far, they've all been friendly, but all that could go out the window if Wukong deemed Meliodas a threat and ordered Jingliu and Jing Yuan to eliminate him.

"Wanna be my disciple?" Wukong casually asked, shocking Jingliu, and confusing the smiling Jing Yuan.

"What?" Meliodas, in utter confusion, replied.

"You heard me, kid, wanna be my disciple?" he asked again.

'Maybe he has a hearing disability?' Wukong wondered in his mind. He had been pretty clear the first time he spoke, so what confusion was there?

Meliodas was stunned, but... "Um, I guess I accept?"

And that was how the Monkey King managed to obtain a second monstrous disciple.

Yes, a second discipl-

"The fuck you mean 'Do you want to be my disciple?', you have a whole damn city to run!!!" Jingliu's sudden outburst of rage shocked Meliodas and scarred the fuck out of both Jing Yuan and Wukong.

Jingliu basically speed blitzed Wukong and grabbed him by the skull, her grip on his head tightening every passing second.

"H-hey come on, it's boring doing all that paperwork!" Wukong attempted to save himself as he tried to get out of Jingliu's grip.

"PAPERWORK YOUR HARY ARSE!! JING YUAN AND I ARE THE ONES THAT DO IT FOR YOU!!!" Yelled Jingliu in even greater heated anger, seemingly annoyed at her king's lazy and avoidant personality.

"B-But I am doing work!!! having good relations with this boy here could be beneficial to our country or something like that" Wukong defended, or more like he making the best excuse he could make at the moment.

Jingliu glared at him for a few seconds before her eyes softened, and her grip on his head loosened "Fine..."

Rubbing his head from the pain, Wukong looked at Meliodas with a grin and gave him a thumbs up.

'Ah... he used me to get out from doing work...' Meliodas thought in realization as his lip twitched in annoyance.

But one thing was for sure. The monkey in front of him was truly Sun Wukong.

-Scene Change-

"What an interest human you brought" Wukong softly spoke.

Both Jingliu and Wukong were looking at the horizon, the city of the Adeptus right below their view from the castle balcony.

Jingliu nodded. "He truly is interesting, isn't he?... Did you feel it?"

"Yes, I felt the multiple Primal Divinities shifting within him when I held his hand," Wukong confirmed.

In the ancient land of Teyvat were gods existed in abundance still, and divine beasts roamed without restraint. There were three stages to "God Hood"

The first stage is called "Primalism". This stage is when a being is able to control one of the world's base elements and be able to understand it on a conceptual level, and these conceptual divinities at the elemental level are called "PrimalDivinities".

The second stage is called "Abstarctism." This stage is when one's understanding of the world around them deepens, allowing one to control and manipulate abstract concepts like love, freedom, justice, and knowledge. When one obtains one of these abstract concepts, they are called "Laws."

And the third stage?

well, there isn't one. None that they know of at least.

Wukong has theorized about this third level of "Godhood," but he has never been able to reach it.

"I see..." Jingliu muttered under her breath, happy that she wasn't imagining things.

Although rare, it wasn't weird for a god to wield multiple divinities. But at most, it was always only one "PrimalDivinity" and one "Law".

"Never have I seen a single individual, human nonetheless, wield three "Primal Divinities" and a "Law" in such harmony" Wukong said with respect in his tone.

"A Law?" Jingliu asked in confusion. All she had felt from Meliodas was a Divinity of Water, Divinity of Light, and a Divinity of Darkness. But never did she feel a Law from him.

"Mhm, he has a Law, although it seems like it is sealed within him " Wukong confirmed once again.

Soon, an awkward silence followed. Jingliu was stunned that Meliodas had a Law. Three Primal Divinities were understandable to a certain extent, but a Law?

Only a few people have been able to reach this level, including Wukong and Jingliu.

But what was weird to her was that she didn't detect it at all.

"Did you see it in him when you touched him?" Jingliu asked.

Wukong shook his head "No... it looked at me"

Jingliu looked at him in silence, her mind racing as it reached for answers.

Seeing her state, Wukong changed the subject: "So... You two are CLOSE FRIENDS, huh?" Wukong asked with a teasing grin.

"W-What? You heard that?!?!" Jingliu snapped out of her thoughts, her face turning crimson.

"Heh, of course I did! I was notified of your rivals once you passed through the barrier. And by coincidence, the person who was supposed to pick you both up heard the conversation and reported it to me" Wukong explained with an easing grin.

"E-erase that memory from your mind!!!" Jingliu shouted as she manifested multiple ice spikes, sending them hurling towards the running monkey.
