When you live with something so long, you tend to forget about it. If you are always in pain, after a while, you learn to ignore it. I never understood just how incomplete I was until I was finally whole.
Thanks to Beau, the final piece of the puzzle had slipped into place, and after 11,000 years, my soul was complete.
The bonus was that I didn't even have to kill him for it to happen. Out of all the options that I had been given; remaining crazy, forcefully taking back his shard, merging our souls together, and everyone dying in a grand reset… I was glad that he offered up that piece of himself to me.
