Chapter 580 - Chapter 580

"Who am I? And why should I tell you?" Lille Barro said, launching another attack.

He was currently within the Shadow.

After a certain amount of time, he would be forcibly ejected. Therefore, during this period, he could attack Hui as much as he pleased, testing Hui's abilities.

When the time was up, he could naturally retreat unscathed.

Hui knew Lille's thoughts and inwardly sighed. Lille was truly naive. The Shadow involved the power of space. While Lille and his companions could use it, they couldn't interfere with the spatial power within it.

It could be compared to a skill in a game. Lille pressed a button to activate the skill, and the skill would automatically execute from start to finish, uninterruptible and unchangeable.

But Hui possessed the most fundamental power of space. He was the master of space. To him, spatial manipulation was like controlling his own hands. He could completely control the strength and movements of his "hands."

If Hui wanted to, he could directly alter the spatial power within the Shadow, preventing Lille's return and trapping him there completely.

However, Hui didn't intend to do so. There was no need to alert the enemy prematurely.

Lille was frustrated as he watched his attacks pass harmlessly through Hui's body, unable to inflict any damage.

He emerged as he spoke, "I heard you single-handedly crushed the entire Soul Society's Gotei 13. From the looks of it, did you tire them into submission?"

Lille spoke sarcastically, attempting to provoke Hui into making a move. He needed to understand Hui's abilities, which required Hui to actively attack.

And Hui fulfilled Lille's wish. He pretended to be enraged, speaking in a voice filled with fury.

"Hmph, since you so desire to witness my power, I shall grant your wish!"

As he finished speaking, a shimmering sword materialized in Hui's hand.

This made Lille's expression turn serious. He focused his entire attention, preparing to face Hui's attack.

"Behold, this is the power that conquered the Soul Society!"

The moment he spoke, silver lightning crackled around Hui, weaving into a garment. As his voice fell silent, Hui had already shot forward.

Lille's pupils constricted as he saw only an afterimage of Hui. He desperately dodged with all his might, but it was simply too late.

Puchi!

Lille felt a chill run down his spine as he looked at the wound on his arm.

'Such speed, so fast, incredibly fast!'

He wasn't unfamiliar with swift opponents, but no one was as fast as this man. It was safe to say that there was a significant difference.

"Did you see? This is the power that crushed the Soul Society," Hui said with an arrogant tone.

Lille looked at the prideful Hui. Though irritated, he couldn't deny that with spatial manipulation and such swordsmanship, this man had the right to be arrogant.

"If you didn't see clearly, I'll let you have a closer look."

Hui's words made Lille tense up.

"This time, try to dodge faster."

Puchi!!!

Another sword slash tore through flesh, and cold sweat dripped from Lille's forehead.

He had already used all his strength to dodge, but it was still not enough. There was simply no escape. Hui's sword left another mark on him.

"So mysterious, I thought you were a powerful opponent, but it turns out you're just so-so. Truly disappointing."

Hui shook his head with a feigned sigh of disappointment, but then a playful and cruel smile spread across his lips.

"However, you're not bad for a practice dummy."

As he finished speaking, in Lille's growing sense of dread, Hui transformed into a stream of light, flitting around him.

His sword continuously left marks on Lille's body.

By the time Hui stopped, Lille was covered in wounds.

However, none of these injuries were particularly severe.

While not negligible, they weren't fatal.

"Sigh, as expected, besides Sosuke and Yhwach, no one else is enough to entertain me. Whoever you are, you've lost your value now. This next strike will pierce your heart. Are you ready...?"

Hui appeared bored, as if complaining about Lille's weakness.

He then raised his sword, pointing it at Lille's heart.

Lille's heart pounded uncontrollably. He could feel the intense killing intent and knew Hui wasn't joking. The next moment, the sword would pierce his heart.

"What a pity," Lille muttered, then instantly used the Shadow to teleport away. He couldn't stay any longer; he would truly die.

In an instant, Lille returned to his hiding place.

Hui looked at Lille's vanishing figure without concern. He knew Lille would return.

At his hiding place, Lille examined his wounds, lost in thought. This probing expedition had been quite fruitful, allowing him to gain a deeper understanding of Hui's spatial abilities and swordsmanship.

Logically, with this new information combined with what he had previously gathered, Lille could return and report.

However, Lille wasn't planning to stop there. He felt he could learn more.

Hui was indeed formidable, powerful enough to be suffocating.

However, Lille didn't believe Hui was invincible, nor did he think Hui could kill him.

Because his own ability, compared to ordinary people, was also monstrous!

As long as he was careful not to be instantly killed by Hui, he would be fine.

But how could he make Hui reveal more of his abilities?

With this thought in mind, Lille sat down to recover from his injuries.

As a Quincy, his regenerative abilities were quite strong. Furthermore, the wounds Hui inflicted weren't difficult to heal. Soon, Lille had fully recovered.

After recovering, Lille used the Shadow Domain once again, infiltrating the villa where Hui was staying.

Looking at Hui, who had calmed down and resumed reading, Lille decided to take a drastic measure this time. He would use his Schrift.
