Frizz finally arrived at the destination. Nathaniel sent a confirmatory ping that Frizz was indeed in the correct location, and comfortably leaned against the gaming chair. Another floating eye inside the makeshift base of operations was projecting and recording the entire view, as if it were a live stream.
Frizz sighed, steeling his nerves. He wasn't raiding commercial buildings anymore; he was now trespassing on government grounds.
It was the city's government hall, and his target was the current vice-mayor of the city.
(Now that I think about it, the local election day is coming in two weeks. No wonder this place is busy.) He thought while taking note of every single surveillance camera inside the government hall, while invisible, and also dodging the busy government employees.
The face of the vice mayor, alongside the current mayor, was plastered on a board. Frizz scoffed, shaking his head. The vice-mayor was a corrupt and bribe-happy politician. Eager to accept any amount of bribe money from the cartel, a self-serving politician whom Frizz viewed as scum.
"Disgusting...."
Nathaniel smiled, knowing that he was in for a ride. Frizz's simplistic and no-nonsense brutality was something that he liked, adored even.
"Remember, Frizz, if things go awry. Try to run away instead of massacring everyone. Not everyone there is guilty."
He warned half-heartedly since he wished for Frizz to leave another path of blood. He didn't mind cleaning the mess so long as the cause was enjoyable.
"Would be nice if Divine were here. She's the most bloodthirsty in this group." Nathaniel muttered, drinking a cold soda. He stared at the cold, dripping can, savoring the sweet cola as he suddenly realized something..
"Hey, odd question. Did your parents name you Frizz because they like frizzy drinks?" He asked, taking another sip of the chilly, sweet beverage.
"....what?" Frizz replied, confused, while infiltrating the city hall, slowly heading towards the vice mayor's office. He turned to the floating eyeball.
The floating invisible eyeball hummed, playfully spinning.
"....forget what I said." Nathaniel shrugged.
Frizz slipped into the vice-mayor's office. Inside was a luxurious sight; even a quick glance was enough to tell that whoever owned this office was earning more than they were letting on. An expensive cushy chair and an expensive sleek wooden desk in an office with two air conditioning units.
(Well, this guy is a living corrupt politician stereotype. Let me guess, this vice-mayor is obese and probably has a bald spot.)
Frizz hid behind a large potted plant in the corner, still invisible.
As if on cue, the vice-mayor's office door opened, revealing the vice-mayor. Frizz's hunch was right; the vice-mayor was indeed obese and bald, although he was a tad bit taller than Frizz imagined.
The vice-mayor coughed, then sat in the chair, turning on the computer and clacking the keyboard. He sips on the coffee. Frizz slowly approached, accidentally tumbling the potted plant.
(Crap!) He tried to catch it, but it was too late.
*Thack!* The vice-mayor was surprised, turning to the potted plant.
The vice-mayor sighed, massaging his forehead. He continued typing, ignoring the fallen potted plant for now. Frizz then continued creeping, finally approaching behind the vice-mayor. Watching his every move, laser-focused on the monitor.
Thirty minutes later...
Frizz was bored out of his mind. The vice-mayor was casually browsing his social media feed, liking thirst trap posts from young women while sipping his coffee. Not to mention, he was breathing through the mouth.
Frizz sighed since the stalking was a waste of time.
The vice-mayor turned around upon hearing an audible sigh, clearly spooked. Frizz's form suddenly materialized, scaring and terrifying the vice-mayor.
A moment of shock and pause until the instincts to cry out for help came.
Frizz instantly grabbed the vice-mayor's mouth, grabbing it tightly while pressing the mayor against the desk. The monitor, along with a small family photo, fell over, breaking upon impact.
"Now, I am going to ask you some questions. All you have to do is either nod or shake your head, understood?"
The vice-mayor's eyes were focused, fear and shock apparent in his eyes. Too shocked to acknowledge the question. Frizz sighed, kicking the vice-mayor's hanging shin, producing a massive pain.
*Mumble!*
"Understood?"
Frizz asked as the vice mayor quickly nodded, shaking and erratically breathing.
Thirty minutes later...
The line of questioning was horrendous for the vice-mayor, every time he hesitated to answer Frizz's queries. Frizz would either slap or kick the vice-mayor. This went on for thirty minutes, until the vice-mayor collapsed on the floor, vomiting from the stress and poison.
"My venomous presence perk worked a bit too well. I couldn't get a lot of information. If only I could properly turn this off." He mumbled, turning to the floating invisible eyeball.
"Did you get all of that?" He asked, tapping on the eyeball while looking outside, wary of the distant police sirens.
"Yes, as we expected. He doesn't know much, but we managed to earn a clue, and as if on cue, the authorities have arrived."
"W-what!? They're coming here, not just passing by!?"
"I'm guessing the vice mayor has managed to press a silent alarm earlier, and the whole building is now evacuated." The floating eyeball scanned the city hall. As soon as Nathaniel said that, Frizz crouched and looked below the desk, spotting a small grey button.
"Shit! I thought only the banks have that."
Frizz dashed through the door, breaking it and spotting two armed civilians on the left side. They were surprised by the explosive exit.
(Bodyguards!?)*Bang!* *Bang!* They fired as Frizz charged forward, slapping them both with enough force to knock them out cold.
He then rushed to the emergency exit, running as fast as he could.
"You didn't take out the camera recordings, try not to do anything drastically supernatural. Hei would disapprove of that."
Nathaniel warned, closely following via the invisible floating eyeball.
Frizz internally cursed; his plan to fly away was shot down. "Dash!"
[System]
[Wind Dash] perk is active.
Frizz easily maneuvered his way around the trees, hurrying his way to the main road and then merging himself with the crowd.
Later that night...
"Another serving of rice, please."
Frizz hollered, enjoying a light meal. Three barbecue steaks and a whole rotisserie chicken. He was about to finish a single steak until he saw two familiar faces. He paused for a moment, trying to recognize the two who were skittishly enjoying their meal.
(It's those two carjackers!) He realized, instantly standing up with an intense expression.
