Speaking of Wuchang City, one cannot ignore the Prince Wuchang Mansion.
Its predecessor was originally a separate palace of the King of Chu. During the previous dynasty, when the Golden Tent Wolf Country invaded from the south, it was destroyed by fire. It was later rebuilt during the Great Xuan Dynasty.
Located in the north of Wuchang City, it occupies almost half of the city.
Li Yan, carrying an umbrella, crossed through the streets and alleys, and soon saw the mansion. The city walls were entirely built from massive stones and coated with white lime, towering majestically in the rain with an imposing presence.
The mansion's vermilion gates were tightly shut, with copper nails shining like gold, dazzlingly brilliant. Through the walls, one could see towering green trees inside, with flying eaves and arches hidden among them, and raindrops falling on the tiles, like pearls scattering on jade.
This mansion clearly had the style of a military fortress.
