It has been a few months since the anti-meta institute was attacked and destroyed by the Guardians. After the warning issued to the world, multiple reports of missing people turning up out of nowhere flooded the media houses all over the world.
Investigations revealed that majority of these people were in fact Metas, although their supposed abilities were not as outstanding as those of the Guardians.
A year later, new systems had been put in place to cater for all the known Meta humans in the world. Departments were created in the various security agencies that recruited some of these Metas; enhancing their image in the public eye.
Samuel and his comrades had been enrolled in MIT and were living their best college lives together. With their identities perfectly hidden, the easily breezed through college…making new friends and building upon their social lives. With Elizabeth by his side, all the girls who were interested in Samuel lost hope after their attempts failed.
With their superior intellects, the group all maintained 4.0 GPA's all four years in college.
Their research works and dissertations were always groundbreaking; granting them the acknowledgement of the school as well as countless invitations from several technology-based organizations and agencies.
They breezed through college and soon graduated with First class Honors. Due to their grades being basically the same throughout their time in the school, the college struggled to select a single individual to carry the title of the valedictorian.
Upon consultation with them, Delgato, the more technologically-inclined of the group, was selected to carry the title by unanimous vote.
After the graduation ceremony, the team took a trip to Europe by private Jet to celebrate.
.....….
Sitting in a mud house in the middle of a primitive village, deep in the heart of a forest on a remote island approximately three hundred miles from the coast of Sienna Metropolis was Dr. Felix Ferguson.
He was a brilliant scientist and inventor. He had studied in multiple fields of science and engineering; and with ample time and adequate resources, he could replicate any existing invention or develop his own to solve a particular problem.
His mud house appeared to be primitive on the outside, just like the others in the village but he had transformed the inside into a modern average home with a laboratory attachment for his research and development work.
It's been seven years since he washed up on the island after his private chopper got caught up in a typhoon and crashed into the sea. The village of Chinchkachkuke was a stereotypical primitive village separated from the rest of the world with a little over two hundred residents.
The residents were unlike any race of humans ever seen. They had dark reddish complexion with a six-foot average height with lean athletic builds. Living their whole lives without an inkling of technology, the villagers had evolved to physically handle every aspect of their lives.
They could move through dense forests at high speeds to hunt agile prey as well as run for a long time with barely any breaks. They were also capable of swimming against the strong currents of the multiple rivers on the island.
They could jump from branch to branch without losing speed; mimicking the ninjas from the popular anime Naruto. A single leap could most likely surpass that of the long jump world record holder; and they could chain these leaps in one continuous movement when pursuing their prey.
A single hunter could choke hold a tiger into submission if the need ever so arose.
He spent months learning their language from scratch in order to understand and relate well with these people who cared for him.
In a bid to return the favor to the village for saving and caring for him throughout the years, Felix, used his knowledge of technology to slowly introduce easier ways of doing things without changing their way of life in the village too much.
He thought them how to dig wells and how to preserve game to allow it to last longer in order to prevent spoilage and to prepare for winter.
He introduced several ground breaking systems like the pulley and lever systems to them and soon they were able to apply it in their daily lives for transportation and other activities, making life a little easier for them.
Using the equipment that floated unto the island with him, he soon invented a groundbreaking device he aptly named; the Ginormaniser ray. The device was capable of increasing the size and density of molecules in living and non-living matter; enlarging it.
It was capable of enlarging meat, fish and food crops without discrimination. He mainly used it to enlarge the game captured by the hunters of the village in order to create more meat per hunt.
Due to their naturally enhanced bodies, the residents of Chinchkachkuke; from toddlers to the elderly consume a lot in relation to average humans. Realizing the danger of the creatures on the island going extinct due to over hunting, he spent months researching and building the device.
The reaction of the villagers to the invention was as expected. They almost branded Felix as an apostle of their gods; sent to better their lives. It took a lot of explaining to lull their praises.
...…..
Living amongst these incredible people for years, and witnessing their incredible feats of strength, Felix started feeling extremely inadequate. Desiring to close this profound gap between them, he decided to put his brilliant mind to work to develop an artificial way to forcefully evolve himself.
By acquiring the untapped resources of the island, he was able to develop and produce the various components he desired for his devices and after a few years, he successfully developed multiple different prototypes to experiment with.
He performed several experiments on biological life forms he found around the island. Creatures like rats, snakes and rabbits were used in his experiments. They were replaced as many times as he needed; as they were unable to withstand the procedures.
Months and months after constant experimentation, he finally found the one creature that could withstand the experiments. It was a tiny black viper that he hatched from an egg he discovered underground when he aided the villagers in digging a well to supply clean drinking water.
By conducting an initial enhancement on the egg, he was able to safely conduct the experiment on the tiny black viper that hatched. With the initial bombardment of the device's rays on the snake, he kept it in a tempered glass cage to observe it; keeping it on the top of his shelf to prevent the village children from reaching it.
