Emily Berns instinctively took a step back. Over the years, she managed to maintain her purity in the entertainment industry because she always kept herself in check and never showed an ounce of flirtation toward any man. Even though John Brown had been involved with her, and she had an ambiguous feeling about him she couldn't quite explain, his sudden action was far too overwhelming for her to accept.
"Haven't seen you in years, and now you're a big star. Having a big star as a woman is really something." John Brown said as he stepped closer to Emily Berns, reaching out to hug her.
Emily Berns was startled and quickly took a big step back, crossing her arms over her chest. She shouted angrily, "Don't touch me!"
"What's your problem?" John Brown rolled his eyes. "Didn't you keep saying you liked me? Didn't you say you liked me so much that you had a child for me? Now I want to touch you, and you won't even let me?"
