Chapter 65 - Winter is Coming

The night was quiet.. eerily so.

The sky above was draped in a blanket of stars, their silver glint filtered by a pale, indifferent moon. The city behind slumbered and unaware. But on the balcony of a quiet house on the outskirts, something hovered unnaturally in the still air.

A fist-sized rock floating on its own.

Jayden sat cross-legged on the railing, his silver hair dancing gently in the breeze. His eyes glowed faintly, brows knitted in concentration. The rock remained suspended mid-air without support, quivering slightly as if caught between two invisible forces.

And then.. with a quiet exhale, the rock dropped.

Clack.

Jayden leaned forward, elbows resting on his knees, and watched it hit the floor.

"Hm," he muttered, rolling his shoulder. "I didn't feel any strain this time."

[I see] Luna's voice chimed in through his mind, calm and clinical. [So is this your limit?]
