Final Fend's chainblade moved back and forth in a flash like a whip. It coiled around his arm again as Eratxung slammed down his terrifying club.
[Stance -25]
Final Fend's defence was a bit hasty, increasing the stance he had to pay. But he wasn't worried as his stance was tripled thanks to being mounted, which would allow him to hold on for a long time.
"Come... mist!"
Eratxung's voice sounded ominous. The orc apparently realized that he wasn't making any progress. Instead of attacking blindly he chose to use a skill. The orc took a deep breath. It seemed as if his lungs rivalled the volume of an entire house. The air surged towards Eratxung and brought a large amount of mist with it.
A moment later Eratxung was entirely engulfed in mist and most of the dome was also filled with an eerie grey. Final Fend was barely able to see his own fingers. Breathing in the foul smell he couldn't help but cough, shivering in disgust.
When the mist dissolved after a couple of seconds Final Fend was suddenly confronted with five clones of Eratxung, all looking the same, boasting 10.000HP.
"Human."
"Embrace."
"The."
"Mist's."
"Power."
The orcs each spoke a single word causing Final Fend to stare at them weirdly.
"What is that supposed to be? Some kind of horror show?"
While mocking his enemy Final Fend didn't forget to move. He rode his mount, building as much distance as possible. Getting a good angle Final Fend didn't hesitate to unleash his skills, starting with [Sweeping Flames]. He swung his chainblade in a wide arc leaving a flaming trail. The black chain was long enough to reach every corner of the dome. All the enemies suffered serious damage.

Final Fend grinned. Dealing more than 15.000 points of damage in a single attack should be sufficient to impress quite a few people. Unfortunately, the orcs seemed to have a rather strong fire resistance, or his damage would have been even fiercer.
However, the attack was not over yet. To Final Fend's pleasant surprise one of his set effects triggered.
Final Fend only had three pieces of set equipment, still working to find a fourth. But even so he was quite satisfied with the set. Its second effect triggered, and suddenly rolling flames appeared in front of him. They took the form of his chainblade, repeating the last skill he used. A chain formed from flames swept the battlefield.

Of course, the damage was not incredible, but it was pretty alright for what was essentially a free attack.
"ARRR!"
The orcs let out angry roars as their expressions turned to one of madness. They tried to close in on Final Fend but sitting on his basilisk the warrior managed to avoid them, even getting in another attack.

However, the orcs didn't allow Final Fend to play them for fools. They showed some intelligence as they positioned themselves in a half circle and marched towards Final Fend, trapping the player against the red dome.
Final Fend couldn't retreat further but he also didn't want to get caught with his back literally against the wall. Therefore, he used one of his mount's skills. Flames engulfed mount and rider as they dashed forwards, slamming into the orc in the middle.
The towering orc looked down on Final Fend. He wasn't swayed by the collision, letting out an ugly grin as the prey proactively came to him.
Swinging his massive club from left to right the orc aimed to swat Final Fend's head away as if it were a baseball. The young man felt a chill run down his spine and hastily ducked, causing the bat to miss.
[Stance -27]
Although the orc missed, he bought enough time for the other clones to arrive as well. Surrounded by five orcs Final Fend had nowhere to go. Four clubs were raised, ready to smash the enemy to a pulp.
But this was exactly what Final Fend had expected. He instantly activated his newest skill. Suddenly his chainblade moved as if it had its own will. It chaotically raced around Final Fend. While doing so it seemed to grow but it was difficult to tell as all Final Fend saw was a blur.
A moment later the chainblade stopped and Final Fend found himself within a sphere made from chains. It might seem like a prison but at least it was safe when the orcs' clubs slammed into it.

The powerful attacks only dealt a single point of damage to the chains. However, the prison still could only endure twenty hits. Suddenly it erupted with hot flames. The chains entangled themselves, moving in a circle while doing so. The flames erupted and created a flaming whirlwind which burned towards the sky.
The orcs looming over Final Fend were immediately engulfed by the flames. They suffered 222 points of damage per second.
Instantly after being freed Final Fend swung his arm, letting his chain blade fly in a full circle above his head, cutting deep wounds into all the orcs' legs.

"Die!"
"Die!"
"Die!"
The voices of the orcs sounded like echoes as they spoke one after the other. Final Fend was instantly hit with five attacks. He used his second mount skill to increase his defence and gritted his teeth as he raised his arms to block.

From a distance the scene looked quite frightening. The players couldn't help but discuss worriedly.
"Will he be alright?"
"Stop bullying him! Poor guy!"
"He did well so far, but that..."
"Serves him right."
"Yo, why so mean?"
"Ignore that guys, he's just jealous because he wasn't allowed to fight."
"Well, seeing what's happening who would still be eager to take such a fight?"
Final Fend's body ached as the power of five orcs drove into his bones. After enduring one attack he hastily activated another skill not daring to continue this passive situation.
[Flame of Punishment] caused a dark orange, almost black, flame to erupt from the chain wrapped around his arm. It looked almost sinister as it flickered, taunting the enemies to attack.
The orcs, though, showed no signs of fear. Their clubs wouldn't stop until there was nothing left of the enemy. But as soon as they came into contact with the black flame, the latter was as if someone poured oil into it, fiercely burning along the orcs' weapons and reaching their arms.

"NO!"
The clones let out simultaneous shouts as their HP dropped to zero. With anti-climactic puffs the orcs exploded, turning back into mist which filled the dome for a moment.
The mist condensed towards the dome's centre again and took the form of a single orc. The original Eratxung reappeared. Final Fend checked the boss's status and saw that the orc had lost 10.000HP.
"It's my turn!"
Final Fend noticed that the orc still appeared somewhat dizzy. Without hesitation he launched his strongest attack, his ultimate skill [Vulcanic Chains]. Grabbing his chainblade tightly Final Fend began to chaotically swing his arm.
The chain thrashed powerfully in all directions. Every time it slammed into the earth it produced deep cracks, from which violent flames erupted. During the skill it kept slamming into the enemy and summoning flames below the orc's feet.

It took Eratxung a few seconds to snap out of it and continue the fight.
"Human... no resist!"
Eratxung words sounded confused as he gathered mist below his feet, preparing to rush towards Final Fend. Noticing the boss's actions Final Fend voluntarily cancelled his skill. But his chain didn't slow down. Instead, it slammed into Eratxung's waist and tightly wrapped around the orc since Final Fend used [Chain Lock].
Eratxung struggled but the skill held him in place. The two enemies looked at each other as the fight froze. Final Fend couldn't do anything with his weapon tied around the enemy, but this wasn't bad. Final Fend only aimed to hold Eratxung in place so the boss would constantly get burned by the flames coming out of the floor.
[-444!]

Final Fend gladly watched the boss monster's HP decreasing rapidly. The situation lasted for four seconds, costing Eratxung another 2.220 HP before he managed to free himself. However, this wasn't all.
Final Fend's chest plate had an effect granting a chance to afflict the burn status on an enemy each time they received fire damage. After enduring so much Eratxung was afflicted with three burn stacks receiving a further 200 points of damage every two seconds.
As the chains loosened, Final Fend realized that he couldn't hold the enemy any longer. Eratxung obviously prepared to dash towards him. Before the orc could move Final Fend flicked his hand, getting in another normal attack.
[-2298!]
Only Final Fend knew how difficult this move was. The chainblade was quite tricky to handle and what might look easy from the outside often took quite some skill. Unfortunately, the more effortless he made it look the lower the chance was that those not in the know would admire him for it.
