A vast, eerie temple loomed at the center of the arena.
"The Demon Temple contains 100 monsters—constructs of pure magic that won't attack indiscriminately," the announcer explained.
"Monsters come in five tiers: D, C, B, A, and S. There are 50 D-rank, 30 C-rank, 15 B-rank, 4 A-rank, and 1 S-rank."
A giant screen flickered to life, showing a D-rank monstrosity—scaled, armored—ripping a stone statue to pieces in a single blow. The crowd gasped at its destructive power.
"Every time you face a higher tier, their strength doubles. Even Ten Wizard Saints can't guarantee victory against an S-rank monster."
"Choose how many monsters to challenge," the host continued. "If you draw three, you face three randomly selected beasts. Defeat them all to earn three points, then the next player draws from the remaining 97. The event ends when every monster is felled—or every challenger falls."
"It's a numbers game," Millianna observed.
"And timing," Hibiki noted. "You must balance risk: face more foes for points, or conserve magic for the next round."
Orga scoffed, "Random or not, strategy helps."
Su Yan murmured, "Probability can be mastered."
"No one may exit until their challenge succeeds," the host added. "If you're knocked out, your prior points stand—but that round's points vanish, and you retire."
Erza stepped forward. "I'll be first."
She drew the first lot: #1. Relief shone on her face.
"This isn't a simple game," Erza said softly, eyes steely. "A hundred challenges, a hundred points—this is more than spectacle."
Without waiting, she entered the temple.
Moments later, the screen showed Erza moving like a whirlwind—cutting through D-rank minions, surging past C- and B-rank beasts, then shrugging off A-rank assaults. Finally, the lone S-rank terror fell under her blade.
Can it be true? the announcer cried. One person defeated all 100 monsters!
Fairy Tail A's Erza Scarlet: Overwhelming Victory!
Cheers thundered throughout the stadium.
"Erza Scarlet—the 'Fairy Queen'—truly the strongest female sorcerer!" the crowd hailed.
Su Yan, Lucy, and the others flooded the platform to congratulate her.
Natsu thrust out a challenge scroll. "Fight me next!"
Lucy clasped her hands in delight.
Mirajane laughed, "I lost to her—Erza remains unrivaled!"
Millianna beamed, "My friend is incredible!"
Hibiki added, "As expected of Ren's fiancée."
Obra muttered, "Madness… but brilliant."
Mala simply whispered, "Magnificent."
In one sweeping triumph, Erza proved that no challenge—or temple—could stand against Fairy Tail's might.
