I ran my hand over my desk with an almost broken heart. I had gotten so used to it that it felt like letting go of one of my lumps. The sewing machine was probably the fanciest I had ever used as well and I would mourn it even more.
Also the fabrics and the chair. I would really miss the chair. In fact I would miss everything about the stitchers room for as long as I had breath in my lungs. I knew it sounded like I was being dramatic but working at B&B was like working for Rolls Royce in the design world.
They didn't cut an expense and being an employee for them came with so many perks that even the overtime was worth it. The free meals once a day and drinks bar was my favorite part.
Most of the stitchers had long packed up and left but I was having it hard. Rodney was one of the lucky ones. He had had a contract with B&B beforehand therefore he would be staying. Stella and I however were on the chopping block.
