"Ding! [Congratulations, Host! Mewtwo, Latias, Darkrai, Cresselia, and Charizard have successfully defeated Regigigas. Battle experience sharing has been triggered. Please select the sharing targets!]"
Target: Mewtwo and Charizard!
Five Tenfold Experience Multiplier Cards—use!
"Ding! [Congratulations, Host! Tenfold Experience Cards successfully used. Mewtwo and Charizard receive 1,280,000 experience points each. Darkrai, Cresselia, and Latias each receive 640,000 experience points!"]
First to level up: Cresselia!
Cresselia's current level: 85.
86…
87…
88…
89!
Cresselia now stood at level 89—just one step away from ascending to a Tier 2 Legendary Rank!
Four levels in one go!
Next up: Darkrai and Latias.
Both were already level 100, having broken through the final limit during their time in the Spiritworld. And now—
101!
102!
103!
A whopping 640,000 experience points had pushed them up three more levels!
"Huh… Looks like during their time in the Spiritworld, Darkrai and Latias already had experience piled up close to 101," Ash silently thought. "Because 640,000 points alone shouldn't have been enough to gain three levels past 100."
Then came Charizard and Mewtwo.
Ash chose to allocate the shared experience to them for two reasons:
One, Mewtwo was his most powerful Pokémon—his personal Guardian.
Two, he wanted to fast-track his core team, especially Charizard and Pikachu, past the barrier of level 100 and into Tier 1 Legendary ranks.
Unfortunately, Pikachu hadn't participated in the recent battle—so Charizard took the full brunt of the boost.
Charizard roared into the sky, his aura exploding outward!
86!
87!
88!
89!
And then—it happened.
The shackle between Tier 3 and Tier 2 Legendary status… broke.
CRACK!
It was like the sound of glass shattering from within. The bottleneck was gone.
90!
91!
92!
Seven levels in total!
"RAAAWR!" Charizard bellowed, unleashing a stream of scorching fire into the sky. He spiraled upward in a show of dominance, then swooped down and crashed playfully into Ash, knocking him to the ground and nudging his head affectionately.
"Haha, alright, alright—I get it, you're pumped!" Ash laughed, patting Charizard's massive head before turning his gaze to Mewtwo.
Mewtwo had already been level 103 (a small correction from earlier chapters). Now, with 1.28 million experience points, his level soared again—
104!
105!
106!
Another three-level jump!
By this point, each level-up cost nearly 400,000 XP—and the required experience only grew steeper from here.
"Hmm… Ash, this power… it's overwhelming!" Mewtwo looked at his hand in disbelief—his three thick fingers trembling slightly from the surge in strength. "I can almost feel myself reaching the level of those two I fought back in Alamos Town... This is exhilarating."
Ash nodded. "Alright, everyone. This was a huge win for us, and I promise—we'll celebrate properly soon. But for now, it's time to rest. Mewtwo, you stay. Everyone else, return to your Poké Balls."
One by one, Ash recalled them.
"Pika pi!" Pikachu rushed over, leaping onto Ash's shoulder.
"Ash, that was incredible! I was on edge the whole time. I can't believe you actually took down Regigigas head-on," Dawn said, walking over with Anabel beside her. Both were still reeling from what they had witnessed.
The image of cute, innocent Latias unleashing a cataclysmic Mist Ball explosion still burned in their minds.
The massive crater that attack had left behind? Now totally filled in by Latias using her psychic power.
"Yeah, but it's not over yet," Ash replied calmly. "We'll see what Regigigas really thinks. Mewtwo, keep an eye on things."
"Hmph… with this new strength, I could easily hold my own against that guy now," Mewtwo said with confidence, stepping forward.
Ash nodded. "Alright then… come out, Regigigas."
He threw the Master Ball into the air.
"Regigigaaa…"
The hulking titan appeared, much of its charred surface now healed—thanks to the Master Ball's auto-recovery features.
"Regigigas, don't be angry. I'll take responsibility for fixing what happened here. The Snowpoint Temple will be rebuilt—and the one who disturbed your slumber will be punished," Ash said earnestly.
"Pika, Pikachu…" Pikachu added, watching the titan closely.
Thanks to the powerful effects of Heal Bell and the two Soothing Bells Ash had activated earlier, Regigigas' rage had long since faded.
Now, hearing Ash's words, it stirred slightly—nodding.
"Regi… giga…"
Regigigas: Thank you. My awakening was unnatural, and I was filled with rage. I only wanted revenge on humanity… I nearly caused something irreversible. But tell me… those Pokémon that stopped me… are they all your companions?
Its massive eyes drifted toward Mewtwo, the only one who had made it feel truly threatened during the battle. And yet, the one who caused the most damage wasn't Mewtwo—it was Latias.
And now, Mewtwo's energy felt far more potent than it did before. In fact… it didn't seem weaker than Regigigas in full form.
Such a rapid increase? How?
Ash caught the subtle shift in its gaze and smiled. "Yeah, they're my partners. My friends. We travel together—and they've experienced things they never would have otherwise. I help them grow stronger too. This one here is Mewtwo, and yep—he just leveled up a lot."
He took a breath, then added, "What do you say? Want to join us too? I'll take care of Snowpoint Temple, I promise. You don't need to go back to sleep and waste away alone."
Ash knew full well: Regigigas's mission was to guard the temple. But if he could show it that the temple would be safe—Pikachu and the others would welcome this titan as one of their own.
Regigigas didn't reply immediately. It stood still—processing.
Then…
Regigigas: Alright. If you truly can solve the problem at Snowpoint Temple… then I will join you. Exploring the world might be more meaningful than eternal slumber.
