Chapter 201 - The Trinity's New Member

(Third Person POV)

[King's Landing]

"What are you saying, Alyssa?" Baelon frowned as he held his son in his arms, "We should willingly accept the Trinity?"

Alyssa was standing in front of him, "I am not saying to directly support it...or become a part of it..." She said, "But to not oppose it. To at the very least coexist with House Drakkengard and the Trinity for the sake of actual peace."

Baelon shook his head, "Peace? With Drakken, there is no peace." He said, "There is no reason why we should even consider it."

Alyssa sat down on the couch, "Think about the things we could avoid by doing this." She said, "I am tired, Baelon. I really am. I don't want you or our sons to die at the hands of Drakken when he finally decides that enough is enough. If we come to terms with it, he could let us be. He could allow us to live happily. That is what we want, isn't it? To live happily as a Family?"

"We have a duty to the Realm." Baelon said, "As Dragonriders. We are not going to allow Drakken to do as he please."

Alyssa frowned, "Look at what he has done, Baelon!" She exclaimed, "How much carnage would it take for everyone to realize that what he says is true?"

"So what, you accept that he is a god?" Baelon scowled, "You are that willing, Alyssa? You want him to be your god?! Can you listen to yourself right now?!"

"Baelon, he destroyed Driftmark!!" Alyssa said, "He has leveled both Dorne and The Stormlands! That creature he created, it killed Vhagar! He cannot die, Baelon, we tried to kill him! How long until all of you finally realize that what he says is true? Because I don't want it to be too late until that happens! W-We should give in, Baelon. I am serious, we should just....we should just accept it...."

"What are you suggesting?" Baelon asked

Alyssa stood back up and walked over to him, gently patting Aegon's cheek, "Maegelle is happy. She is bearing his child." She said softly, "Saera is now his woman as well. They are our blood, Baelon. We can make something work. Perhaps....we can ally ourselves with House Drakkengard....for the sake of-"

"No." Baelon said, "I am the rider of Balerion. House Targaryen needs the power of the dragons to stay on the Throne. If we just defect and leave them powerless, what do you think will happen? The other Houses will dethrone us and sit someone on the throne that will be subservient to him."

"Sooner or later..." Alyssa said, "Someone will sit on that throne and will be subservient to him. If we can coexist with him, at the very least, it would be a Targaryen."

"Aemon is Heir. Should he have a son with Daella, his line will continue on the throne." Baelon said seriously

"Yes." Alyssa said, "What would stop Drakken from having a daughter with either Maegelle or Saera who he can marry off to Aemon's son? Their son will be on the throne, and Drakken's blood will be absolute. He will end up winning in the end. My point is that despite all of that potentially happening, our family might be able to avoid tragedy."

There was a knock on the door, causing the two of them to look over with surprise.

"Who is it?" Baelon called

"Brother, Sister." Viserra's voice was heard, "It is I...."

"Oh, Viserra." Alyssa said, "Come on in."

The door opened and the Princess walked in, wearing a white dress.

"What is it?" Baelon asked

"You look beautiful, sister." Alyssa smiled, "What is the occasion?"

"O-Oh...." Viserra said softly, "Nothing in particular. I....wanted to ask the two of you something."

Baelon looked at Alyssa and then back at Viserra, "Go ahead."

"Drakken." Viserra said, a glint of curiosity in her eyes was visible, "Is he truly a god?"

"No." Baelon said, "He is nothing more than a monster that was brought up from the Seven Hells, that is all."

"I've asked around." Viserra said, "They say he fell from the stars upon the lands. I heard he created beasts that rival our House's dragons, and one of them killed Vhagar.....everyone saw that he brought someone back from the dead...."

Alyssa nodded, "I suppose...." She said, "That is all true...."

"Tricks and deceit.." Baelon scowled as he turned around, "I don't want you to openly talk about that, Viserra."

"Oh..." Viserra said, "I've heard rumors that there is worship of the Trinity in the city. Is that true?"

"No." Baelon told her, "Nobody can prove that. But don't go around saying that, I don't want Barth to take things too far."

"He's right." Alyssa said, "Just keep that to yourself."

Viserra nodded, "But...." She said, "Is he truly one? A god??"

Alyssa walked over to her, "Whether he is or not...." She said softly, "Drakken is an individual of great power. That is all you need to know."

"Nothing else."

[Fleabottom, A Few Nights Later....]

A young knight, wearing a cloak walked inside the alley, holding the hand of a young girl who was also wearing a cloak.

"Stick close to me." He said in a hushed tone, "We don't want the guards to spot us."

The Knight stopped behind a building, looking around to see if anyone was watching and he then moved aside some boards from the entrance. He then slightly opened the door and gestured at the girl to go in.

"Go." He said, "Hurry."

The girl clutched her hood and slipped through the entrance as the Knight followed, closing the door behind and moving some boards in the way. They were in a small room that had little to no light inside it and the young girl simply stood behind the Knight as he was ensuring the entrance was blocked off.

"I don't know why you've suddenly asked me to do this...." The Knight said as he grabbed her hand and walked out of the room, pulling her aside, "I might get killed for this....but fortunately, my uncle has ties to them."

They made their way to some stairs that led to a lower level, there was a faint light at the bottom. The girl looked down the stairs and was feeling nothing but nervousness, knowing that she should probably not be there.

"Come." The Knight said as they both walked down the stairs and reached a door

Behind the door, there was the sound of people murmuring inside. The girl saw that through the bottom of the door, there was light shining, as if the room was lit by candlelight.

The knight knocked the door with three distinct and separate knocks, some sort of code.

The door then opened and a large man wearing a smith's apron stood there, looking at the two of them.

"Who graces the Battlefield?" The Man asked with a raised eyebrow

"Sol'Tyr, the Great Lord of War." The Knight said as he gestured at the girl, "She is with me."

The Man looked at her, "Who rejects life?"

The Knight nudged her.

"Uhm." the girl said, "Thanatos, the Great Lord of Death."

The Man nodded, "He is expecting you." He stepped to the side, "Our preparations are complete."

The Knight and girl walked inside the door, stepping inside a large room where a large shrine stood at the end of the room. The shrine resembled the Obelisk over at Harrenhal but was made out of white marble. At the base of the shrine, there was a pitch-black spike, fashioned from the Obelisk itself.

In front of the shrine, a man wearing a cloak stood, his arms raised as he chanted.

"Great Sol'Tyr....Great Thanatos.....O' Great One.....Drakken...."

The Young Knight and The Young Girl stood in the middle of the room as several other people were gathered in the side.

The Man lowered his arms to his hood, pulling it down to reveal his dark hair. He then slowly turned around to look at the two.

"So you've brought her." the man said

"Yes, sir." The Knight said, "Ezra...."

"What you see before you." Ezra said seriously, "Is His Holiness's shrine. You best ensure that the girl does not speak."

The Knight nodded, "I am quite close to the Court, I will watch over her." He said, "I have pledged my loyalty already."

"That best be the case." Ezra said, "The Faith of The Seven has begun their witch-hunt in secret. The Hand of The King has gone behind the King's back. The time of conflict is upon us and only Sol'Tyr will oversee the battlefield.....leaving Thanatos to reap the victims."

The young girl pulled her hood down, revealing herself to be Princess Viserra. There was a gasp among those present, shocked to see the Targaryen Princess to be among them, especially before the shrine of The Trinity.

"Is it true.....then...?" She said softly, "Drakken.....he is a god...?"

"Drakken is the God of War and Death." Ezra said, "He is the foundation of the Trinity. Sol'Tyr represents the aspect of War. Thanatos represents the aspect of Death. Drakken is what holds them together and the Tenets. The idea of the Trinity and Drakken himself may be separate entities, as he does as he desires.....but he is our true god."

Viserra looked at the shrine, "Is that so..."

"He is the Creator God of Ammaria, the Goddess of Storm." Ezra continued, "The God of Devastation, Grayle....and The Goddess of Gold and Wealth, Lyssa. His Holiness, Drakken....is the source of the power of the Duskguard and House Drakkengard."

"A princess..." one of the others said, "What is she doing here?"

"We should get rid of her." another said, "She could bring attention to us."

Ezra raised his hand, "No." He said, "The girl's heart is being pulled by the grace of The Trinity. I, Ezra, hereby declare her to be untouched by anyone. Should she share her blood to the shrine, she will be part of the Trinity.....but not like any other follower....no....she is a Targaryen, she bears the Dragon's Blood....and His Holiness is a Dragon God.....therefore...."

"She will be a Dragon Maiden."
