At the chaos, officer Zhou and Yu Bing walk back home. On the busy street, everyone see two men talking deeply in their conversations. Officer Zhou realised that despite the young age of Yu Bing, he actually thinks a lot and thinks far. He even have some men to follow that female beggar which turns out there is something fishy about her. Right now, some men are standing outside the residence she have enter in.
"Officer Zhou, you are consider a young man too. Why is your stamina so terrible?"
"What do you mean terrible? Try running after you is like going with a horse! The speed you have is ridicules! No one in this kingdom can catch up after you!"
"You need some exercise. I should bring you for a run up and down those hill."
"I am perfectly fine. I am a fit young man. I am only twenty seven this year! Still good!"
"No, you need to be stronger. How can you go catch theft in your state. Riding a horse in the capital is not the answer, Only those noble men goes about in their horses."
They argue about it till they got home. Hu Li put down her little friends who are sleeping in her shirt. In the box, she put down a big red bean bun for them to eat when they are awake. She smile and walk off. While office Zhou walk near to see the rats laying down on the hay inside the box.
'I don't know if you know me. I am in-charge of that boy. If you can talk, you can tell me too.'
He whisper and look around. Feeling like a fool he got up and put on his apron. He walks to the kitchen and start preparing food. While Hu Li is asking Mrs Zhou how is her day. She smile and say it is good that her son and daughter-in-law have return home everyday. It makes her happy. When dinner is served she nag her son about having children.
"My son, it's time for you to have children and why are you sleeping each a bed. Both of you have to sleep together to have children."
"Mother... i "
"Listen to me. I will take care of your children while both of you go to work."
"Mrs Zhou, the house is too small."
"Precisely! House too small."
"Then i will sleep outside, both of you can sleep inside. So that ..."
"Wait till he gets promoted. That means higher salary. With a higher salary, we can have a bigger house."
"When?"
"... when we finish the work on hand! hahaha isn't it Officer Zhou."
He hurry to nod his head so that the conversation can end.
"Oh... but when can you both finish?"
"Very soon. Here have this, the meat is tasty."
That night, dinner is rather nice. At mid night, Hu Li who doesn't need much sleep walk outside. She climb up the wall and squad there. She stare at the moon. Her tail slip out and it is swinging slowly from left to right. Lost in her thoughts, she did not see her night visitor is standing next to her. She only notice him when she look to her side. Fei is looking at the moon too. She smile and adjust to sit on the wall.
"Having fun?"
"No... some humans are so cruel."
"Yes some. It's nature of the two legged creatures."
"What is Hei doing these days?"
"Why do you always ask about Hei? I am not his nanny."
"Hmm you are correct. Next time i won't ask you."
Fei hurry to hold her hand and the look at her.
"Don't be angry. I am ... don't like that you always think about Hei. If you miss him, look at my face. We are identical."
She look at him with a sad look. She reach out her other hand and cup his face.
"No you both different. Not identical at all. You are elegant and refine. He is rough and deadly."
"Do you prefer the elegant bird? Or the rough fox?"
"I like... all three brothers. We are forever family. I will miss whichever that is not in front of me."
"I am not satisfy with that answer... anyway Hei have gather some creatures in the forest to leave soon."
"What about Bai Lu? What is he doing?"
"He is still meditating in the lotus flower. Occasionally he step out to walk around. The rest of the fairies like him very much. He have grown up quite a bit."
"Can you describe how he look now?"
"As tall as i am. Slim. Fair skin. Long dark hair."
"i am asking about his looks."
"Let's see. Dark eyebrows. Almond shape eyes. Nose, long and slim and turn down down with round checks. Thin long lips. His face shape is ... oval. His eyes are like black diamonds in the dark sky."
"Ah Fei, your description... is terrible. I can't picture him at all."
"Well, soon you will meet him. Now is not the time. He look like any of us in this age group."
"When i meet him, am i still his mother?"
"That will never change. You are forever his mother."
They continue to sit there for a very long time. Before the sun is up, Fei transform and flies off. Hu Li keep her tail and watch the elegant bird disappear behind the clouds. While Officer Zhou wakes up to see the young boy sitting on the wall watching the sunrises. For a minute, he stare at the back of Yu Bong, he blink a few times and rub his eyes. Officer Zhou thought that he is seeing a pair of cat ears on Yu Bong's head. While Yu Bing turn around and wave to him, as usual.
