Logan finally turned to face the others—Yui and Ren, Freya who was still under his control, and Ruben, one of his closest friends.
Each of them reacted differently towards the news of the coming war and joining in the fight in the empire.
Ruben gave a simple nod as if it was only natural, he'd be coming along.
Yui, ever carefree, raised a thumbs up. Ren shrugged, as if to say, Oh well.
Freya, on the other hand, still bound to him, shook her head slightly—hoping he wouldn't bring her along.
Logan then turned to Ms. Claire, the teacher of the group. She glanced around just like him, trying to gauge the students' reactions before sighing deeply.
"We won't be able to avoid this… I just hope we're strong enough. I can't lose another one…"
The room fell into silence.
Logan sighed, bracing himself for what he had been avoiding. He finally faced the class.
"Well, there is one silver lining to all this… We can return to our world—if we complete our mission."
