Just as the sword light was about to pierce into Ye Xuan's back, it was suddenly blocked by another sword light that came out of nowhere; it was Zuo Shi.
"Zuo Shi, what are you doing! What does this boy have to do with you?"
Song Ling's pretty face darkened. She was disciplining Ye Xuan, and it was none of Zuo Shi's business. Moreover, wasn't there bad blood between her and this boy? Why then would she come to his aid?
"He has nothing to do with me."
Zuo Shi looked directly at Song Ling and said indifferently, "I simply can't stand by and watch some people bully the few with numbers and launch sneak attacks."

Song Ling's eyebrows shot up, but she had no way to deal with Zuo Shi. Their feud was not a matter of just a day or two, and with Zuo Lingyun around, she couldn't really do anything to Zuo Shi.
