Chapter 77 - Chapter 77 – Tri-Source Generator

As night slowly fell and deep darkness crept in, Su Chen stood proudly in front of his freshly pitched green tent, beaming with satisfaction.

Especially since the shape of the tent was near perfect—his handiwork was impeccable.

After a rough setup, the full outdoor camping kit was finally ready!

But given how late it was, he decided to stay in the RV for the night. After all, the biggest concern was the possibility of monsters lurking in the dark. The tent offered almost no protection.

Out there, in pitch black, sleeping in a tent was a risky gamble.

What if a monster barged in while he was fast asleep? The fright alone could scare his soul out of his body.

For safety's sake, the RV was the better choice.

Besides, it was a luxury RV—not something most people had access to.

Tents were fine for short-term shelter, but clearly unsuitable for longer stays.

The conditions just didn't compare.

So today's task was just to finish laying out the supplies. Tomorrow, he could finally enjoy the full camping experience.

Su Chen had never experienced real camping before.

In fact, his only impression of outdoor camping came from watching Camping on YouTube, where the Campers went camping together.

Back then, he was still naive. Seeing them camping made him incredibly envious—if he could spot a shooting star, that would be the cherry on top.

That's why he'd been so excited about this camping trip and had carefully prepared everything.

With his flamethrower, fire was covered.

And when it came to food, he wasn't worried in the slightest. Su Chen was probably consuming more food in a week than most people in the RV world.

Instead of just talking the talk, he decided to get moving.

He got his ingredients ready—beef, tiger meat, and a few vegetables.

Chairs were set out. The Bluetooth speaker was ready for some tunes tomorrow. Where else could you get a setup like this?

It sounded simple in theory, but putting it all together had been no easy feat.

After a full session of work, Su Chen was drenched in sweat.

"Ah, finally done," he muttered.

He'd placed everything outside, so when morning came, he could jump straight into the camping life.

By now, it was deep into the night.

Most of humanity was already fast asleep. The survivors of the second round were doing significantly better than those in the first.

It was now the second night of the round, and fewer than one million people had been eliminated.

Compared to the 1.5 billion who were wiped out by the second night of round one, the difference was staggering.

It was a promising sign—it meant the survivors' overall competence had improved.

But no one knew whether each round had a fixed number of survivors or not.

If advancement was strictly based on numbers, the challenges ahead would only get harder.

The rules of the game showed no mercy. There was no room for sentiment.

Now a new trend was becoming clear: more and more people were choosing to team up.

That made sense—anyone who had made it to round two was bound to be more capable than those who didn't.

At the very least, they had some ambition. That meant it was easier to find like-minded allies for mutual growth.

Compared to round one, the issues of food hoarding and uneven distribution had decreased significantly.

Most people now preferred smart and competent partners, not freeloaders who relied on others.

If you really were stuck with someone like that, you might as well go it alone.

Solo survival was quieter. No one to interfere, no need to bend your will to someone else's. You could simply follow your own heart.

Forming an alliance should be about growing together, a win-win—not sacrificing yourself to carry dead weight.

That was Su Chen's belief too. He preferred being alone.

In fact, if teaming up meant more trouble than peace, he'd rather just do as he pleased.

All the camping gear was finally prepped.

Next, Su Chen took out the solar generator—it was time to study it carefully.

He didn't know much about RV mechanics and had always assumed the electricity would last indefinitely.

Only now did he realize a full charge would only last about a week.

If he was right, today marked day six.

Which meant… the RV was about to lose power.

He shuddered at the thought.

"Don't tell me I'll have to stumble around in the dark in a place like this? That's terrifying…"

In weather this cold, with howling winds every day, sunshine was a rare luxury.

"Does that mean this solar generator is basically useless now?"

He picked up the generator and examined it closely.

It looked like an electric bike battery, similar in size and weight.

"Oh! Right! Why am I such an idiot?"

He nearly burst out laughing. He had almost forgotten about his system.

He quickly tapped "Enhance."

[Ding! Congratulations, host! Enhancement successful. The solar generator has been upgraded to a Tri-Source Generator (solar, wind, and hydro powered)]

Tri-Source Generator

Details: Can generate electricity using sunlight, strong winds, or water resources. Extremely high storage capacity. A full charge can power an entire household for a month.

"Awesome".

With this, he'd basically achieved electrical independence.

Of the three sources, wind energy seemed the most practical right now.

There hadn't been much sunlight lately, so solar was basically out.

As for water, while water was essential and Su Chen had plenty, he wasn't sure how long it would take to fully charge the generator with it.

He wasn't stupid—he knew the basics.

Given the current freezing temperatures and biting wind, wind power was the best bet.

Besides, if he didn't use the gale to generate power, it would just blow by and disappear into the void.

Now that it had been enhanced, even the generator itself felt heavier—another clear sign of the system's magic.

Su Chen looked around. The area was wide open, but the air was crisp and fresh.

No monsters in sight. Totally safe.

As for other people? None around here. This whole zone felt secure.

He opened the window, and a refreshing breeze brushed across his face.

This was it—the perfect moment.

Su Chen carried the Tri-Source Generator outside and let it soak up the wind. The gusts hadn't stopped all day.

He figured that by morning, the generator would be fully charged.

This method was a huge time-saver. What a brilliant idea!

After all that effort, Su Chen was beat. Time to sleep.

He laid down and was out like a light.

And just before drifting off, a thought popped into his mind, leaving him stunned by how lucky he was.

This was amazing.
