Max walked down the school corridor to get back to class.
Max barely spoke once. Of course Max wasn't going to explain what had just happened to him.
Even more so about Kenrich and Miranda who just disappeared as soon as he turned his body.
After school ended that day, still without saying anything Max immediately chose to go home because he was tired and sleepy.
Many of Max's classmates wanted to take him out for a walk and others asked him what happened when he was late for class, and if he was okay.
Max ignored them all and chose to go home.
Miranda's words telling him to go back and rest were a good order, so Max obediently went to rest.
Max slept soundly, with no dreams from late afternoon until dawn.
In the morning Max woke up energized after a good night's sleep, undisturbed.
Max quickly showered, had breakfast and went to school on Saturday with a change of clothes in his backpack, as he wanted to spend the night at one of his best friends' house.
Max's mom, who was also dressed and ready to go to work, stood in the doorway watching Max put on his shoes. "Max, are you spending the night at your friend's house?"
"Yes, mom." said Max, glancing at his mother.
"Ok. Have fun, but don't get into trouble!"
Max stood up excitedly, turning his body to his mother. "Of course mom!"
Max's mom smiled broadly, running a hand through her son's dark hair. "Take care!"
"Ok. Mam!"
Max's mom kissed Max's left cheek and laughed widely.
"Your lipstick must be smudged! I'm not a kid anymore!" Max said as he turned away and wiped his mom's lipstick.
"You will forever be my favorite little baby!" Max's mom exclaimed as her son ran up to a suv that had just pulled up to the gate.
The three boys of Max's friend who were in the car waved to Max's mother, who was very friendly.
Max's mom also waved her hand.

School.
While Max was studying in class, the bell that signaled an announcement from the loudspeakers in each classroom rang, then a female teacher called Max's name to come to the teacher's room.
Some of Max's friends laughed and said it must be because Max skipped class yesterday.
"I finished my assignment that day!"
Max left the classroom in exasperation while running a hand through his black hair.
***
Teacher's room.
Max opened the door of the teacher's room lazily. When the door opened, Max's blue eyes saw a pair of black eyes with long eyelashes staring directly into Max's eyes.
The yellow flash resembling a tiger's eye made Max seem hypnotized. Miranda who did that to Max smiled slightly.
"You're Miranda, right?!"
Miranda's forehead wrinkled slightly, the girl was quite surprised why her hypnosis didn't work on Max.
[Why isn't this boy affected by my hypnosis?! And why does he still remember what happened yesterday?]
Since Miranda was silent, Max also walked a little to the side so that he could enter the teacher's room.
"Eh?! There's no one." Max looked confused at the empty teacher's lounge.
"There's no one, because I'm the one who called you!" interrupted Miranda who was still standing in the doorway.
Max turned his body quickly, and he found Miranda standing right in front of him.
Miranda smiled broadly, revealing a row of well-groomed teeth. "I just wanted to test you. And it turns out you're a terrible person. How could you not be alert. That sucks!"
"Why are you here? Do you want to spy on me so that I don't open my mouth about your identity?!"
"Don't be prejudiced, kid! I'm an alumnus of this school, and I just wanted to deliver an invitation to the festival at my college!"
"Didn't you just say that you were the one who called me to the teacher's lounge?!"
Miranda laughed at Max's words. "Hehehe... I thought you were stupid, that's why I played a little first."
Max just sighed, not really caring about Miranda's teasing.
***
On one of the benches in the school garden, right under a tree that was in full bloom, Max and Miranda sat together talking about something.
Miranda's face, which had been joking a lot from the beginning of her appearance to just annoy Max, turned a little calm.
"So what's the problem with you coming to my school? Don't you have anything to do? Why don't you go back to your college?"
Miranda supported her chin with her right hand and smiled at Max. "So you were able to understand the situation after I let you rest and think?"
"No. I don't think about anything at all. As soon as I got home I showered, ate and slept." Max's honest answer.
"Haah..." Miranda let out a disappointed sigh. "Can't you be serious?"
"I am serious! Start right off with what you came to school for?"
Miranda smiled again. "Alright. I'll get right to it. Actually, I came earlier than I should have to tell you, if you already know the world of mythical creatures, it means that you will definitely get involved in the world of mythical creatures more deeply! The world of mythical creatures is vast and there are many types. Just like humans have many ethnic groups!"
"You mean there aren't just vampires, half-tigers and werewolves mythical creatures that actually exist in this world?!"
"Exactly! Sooner or later, you will be directly involved! Especially with the mythical creatures that exist in this country! I'm telling you this so that you can prepare yourself for whatever comes your way!"
"Prepare yourself like what? Are the other mythical creatures evil?"
"Prepare yourself physically and especially mentally, since you are still new to this world! And yes, there are of course evil and good mythical creatures. But it all depends on the person with the ability and the one guiding them."
Max bit his right thumb as he was a little nervous at Miranda's explanation. "I don't know anything about the world of mythical creatures. I don't even know how to avoid you who can appear and disappear suddenly. Can you help me?"
Miranda took a deep breath and crossed her arms over her chest. "It is because of Lord Kenrich's orders that I am willing to help you! Moreover, we are of the same race."
"Race? To my ears it sounds like we're animals." Max muttered in a half-whisper while looking to the side.
Miranda frowned at Max's words. "The word race isn't just for animals!"
"Yes, it is. Oh yeah, what kind of help are you going to teach me?"
"The first is obviously controlling your abilities even though you can't do anything right now. But from your easy-going nature and your unflappability, it seems like you'll easily adapt to your new abilities. Secondly, when it comes to physical strength, I've investigated what you usually train. You're an avid sportsman. Cycling all day, hundreds of kilometers is not for everyone! You're also a black belt, so your physique doesn't need to be trained."
"Then what else?"
"Next, you google mythical creatures yourself. There are some, some other types of mythical creatures."
Max nodded slowly a few times. "Alright, I got it!"
