Chapter XXXII

Lynception

Final AKT

Play Yer Cards

Amara rushed down the corridor. It was completely flat. As she went, the corridor flickered between white and grey, with a grey pulse travelling down it. Behind her, crystular grey grew along the walls and corners.

She looked back. Nothing was there.

["Don't look back, they're beneath ya," Carina's voice urged].

She looked forward and charged ahead. She eventually reached a hexagonal platform. Stepping onto the platform, it quickly came down like an elevator. She looked up and around as the Crystular grey lined the walls above.

"What now?" she asked.

["Now we wait," an echo of Carina answered].

"If…If I that grey had actually beaten Lyn…?" she asked, squeezing her fists.

["She would've become balanced. One so foolish as to harm my beloved 'Mara don't deserve such gifts," she answered, placing a hand on her cheek. "But to protect ya from harm, its what must be done,"].

She grabbed the hand, "That stuff she said 'bout…Armina…,"

["Don't listen to her, her mockery, her criticism, its all just jealousy," she responded, shaking her head].

"Right, jealousy," Amara convinced herself, taking a deep breath and looking down.

"JEALOUSY?!" an annoying voice chuckled from above. "Now ain't ya that a cope!"

She looked up to see Lyn falling down from the top of the shaft. Lyn shot her a smirk and wink.

"YOU!" She yelled up.

Her eyes sharpened, she released the drones from her big frick off sword and sent them up at her. Lyn did a barrel roll avoiding the shots fired from the drones.

"Ya gotta have more tricks Patridiot! Yer not an old dog yet!"

["Don't respond to her mockery," Carina urged].

Amara grit her teeth and placed her claw against the grey growing on the walls. Spears of grey shot out at Lyn.

Lyn wired in one of the drones and held onto it. She nudged her way through the swarm of grey, only receiving a few small cuts.

Amara summoned a massive clump of grey into a sphere and KICKED it like a football(European). It bounced around the shaft like a pinball. Once it reached Lyn, Amara made it explode like grenade.

Lyn, with the wire still attached, kicked the drone like her own football. She shot downward, but didn't escape the explosion, instead the explosion which would've either annilated her or sent her upwards, sent her crashing downwards.

Amara looked down at her silhouette in the floor, "Is she dead?"

"That's the black chip question ain't it?" Lyn asked, jumping out of the silhouette and giving a bow.

"How…Where's Armina?" Amara questioned, eyes narrowed, taking a step forwards.

"So ya really do care. There's hope fur ya yet, Patridiot," Lyn remarked, snapping her fingers nad giving a wink.

"Ya ain't gonna change my mind, an' I always cared, ya were just too much trouble to deal with,"

"Ya ain't glasslightin' me, Patridiot, ya ain't Taipan Twilight," she remarked, hand on her hip.

["Stop wasting time an' kill er," Carina urged].

"(In a second)," Amara argued, glancing at her.

"Oh Grey, how ya doin'," she commented, encircling the two and two finger pointing at Carina. "Listen Amara, whoever Grey's taken the form of, its not them. Its an illusion, a fantasy. Ignore-,"

"NO," Amara panicked, her eyes widened.

She whipped at Lyn horizontally with her beam blade. Lyn ducked beneath the strike. Spikes shot out from the walls and beams shot from the drones above. Lyn bobbed and weaved through the strikes, letting out papier stars to block any of the excessive attacks.

"She's REAL…she…she has to be…!" she called out, striking at Lyn with her blade.

Lyn dodged and grabbed her with her wire. She pulled closer and prepared to strike her with a punch. Amara summoned her drones to make a shield. Lyn shifted her punch to a hand form. In her other hand, she held a grey spear.

She shoved the shield out of the way and stabbed at the amulet. With a spark, it bounced off, but it left a single scratch.

"Wow, fighting fire with fire really is impractical," she remarked.

"Leave 'er ALONE!" she roared, horizontal cutting at Lyn with the sword.

Lyn jumped back and threw a giant star. Amara used her sword to block.

She sent the drones to fire upon Lyn. At the same time, she place her claw on the ground, sending a wave of spikes her way. Lyn dodged, weaving her way to Amara's left view.

The elevator exited the shaft portion. Now they were coming down over a familiar city of white buildings and walls: the Hollow Realm.

["Quick,"].

Amara sent a wave of grey that engulfed the platform. Lyn was pushed off, falling below her line of sight.

She moved to check the edges when Carina grabbed her shoulder. Carina was no longer hollow, but a crystular statue.

"Don't, she'll take advantage of yer vertigo," she insisted, looking her in the eyes. "Let me handle everythin' fer ya,"

Amara placed a hand on her cheek, and looked longingly into her eyes "'kay, thankya-,"

"By Omnes I'm gonna be sick," Lyn commented, pulling herself up across from them with the spikes. "Why can't everyone was AroAce like Inola(or anti carnal{sex and romantic repulsed} like me),"

"You!" Amara exclaimed all flustered.

"Hold onto me," Carina urged, raising her fingers. "Let's end this here chaos," {twist on a line from DMC 3}.

Lyn rushed over to the as fast as she could, hopping along the grey. Amara held on tight. Carina made a scissor gesture with her fingers.

The elevator imploded.
