Xavier walked with his mother up to where Selene was waiting for them.
"Is there something you want to say to me, Xavier?" Josephine asked, assuming he was curious about what she had spoken with Nathaniel about.
"No. I already know that you two will be back together, and it doesn't concern me. You won't be able to resist each other. He'll show up before you a few more times, and then I will hear that you are with him. It is fine," Xavier said.
Xavier had little to no interest in stopping Josephine from going back to Nathaniel once she was out of his home.
"You might be right. I am only a little tired of our marriage right now. We've been together for so long, and I never realised I could take a break to enjoy myself. It truly might be a curse to live so long. One of us would have died by now if we were human," Josephine said.
