Even the other Vanderbilts were losing their minds about Michael bidding millions of gold coins as if they were just chump change to him. They were already sweating when he offered 15. But then, he bid 20 unprompted, when the Pyramidic Cuisine wasn't even going to bid anything.
"Maybe we can rescind it? It's not worth it to spend that much money on land!"
"I think it's better to invest that money in other items!"
"Yeah, how about the Soo? You'll need a lot of money to buy it if you want. You should save your money for that!"
Despite their pleas, Michael remained calm. "It's just 20 million, relax. It's more important to have land than to have money in my case."
