His voice was unsympathetic, "my knee is injured," Abrielle stated the obvious. Cedric squatted down to scrutinize the scrap on her knee.
"It looks fine to me. Continue running." He said; Cedric stood up; his expression was blank, making it hard for her to read his expression. Abrielle glared at him hating how nonchalant he was.
"I can't continue," she wasn't being a whiny brat, but her feet were killing, and her knee was injured. How could she continue running in this condition?
"You were the one who said I should not be soft, soldiers keep on fighting with worse injuries. If you are in a battle and you get injured, will you give up so easily?" His words were sharp and straight to her ego where it hurt her.
