As Leo Thompson approached, Kingsly Scott had already consumed half a bottle of aged whiskey.
Under the brilliant starlight, his silhouette was cold and lonely.
Leo sat on a white lounge chair, poured himself a glass of whiskey, and spoke softly, "A magazine contacted me, saying many people witnessed you and Rachel at the civil registry office getting divorced... The magazine dared not report the news without confirmation, so they called me."
Kingsly took a sip of whiskey. "What do you want to ask?"
Leo held his glass, resting his hand on the lounge table. "I can't believe you would divorce Rachel, but with so many witnesses, it's obviously true."
Kingsly's dark, sharp eyes were intense.
Leo found the answer in Kingsly's subtle expression.
Leo asked again, "Does Rachel know?"
Kingsly understood what Leo was referring to, but he didn't respond.
