Chapter 23 - Poor Planning

"Let go of my your traitorous shits," the guard demanded as his two companions held him down, one was trying to pin his arms while the other was sitting on the man's back and holding his legs firmly in place.

"I'm not dying for you," one of the two said, "Captain Fae was never that strong before, if she's gotten that strong just by being laid by the King I don't even want to think about what it might do if someone managed to touch her,"

"I already told you it's dead by now," as he got closer King realized the tackled guard had a collar in one hand and a zapper in the other, the guard he had thought was trying to pin the arms was actually trying to take away the collar. "Now get the hell off me before we miss our chance. If you're too scared and stupid to take advantage of a golden opportunity when it presents itself, that's your problem, not mine!"

King walked over and squatted next to the guard holding the man's legs down, patting his shoulder, the guard looked over and stared at him for a very long moment.

"I…we…they have water?" He said nervously, his words drew the one trying to go for the arms who jumped up and backed into the nearest wall.

"You," the third guard said angrily, apparently thinking another guard had stumbled onto the situation in confusion, "I am Sir. Benedict, Yes Sir. Benedict, help me with these two dipshits and I'll let you in on the action, you can do whatever you want to that elf bitch while I show 'Captain' Fae who's the boss,"

King held up a finger to shush the guards as Benedict talked, once he finished he walked into his line of sight.

"Listen," Benedict's tone didn't change even slightly, "I can get you out of here, kill these two and I'll help you escape, I'll keep your sluts as payment of course but you can just grab some bitch off the street," King glared at Benedict without speaking a word, "What, you wanna keep the other elf," he rolled his eyes, "Fine but I get to use her mouth at-" The entire Colosseum shook violently for a second and King waved his hand, doing his best to rid it of the residue formerly known as Sir. Benedict.

"Good job," He told the two cowering guards, "Keep it up and when I eventually break out and kill everyone I might just be kind enough to let you guys fight to the death over who gets to live, I know just how much the people of this country love a good show afterall," King used them to clean off his bloody hand before opening the door to his room, Fae already rushing to him with glee wearing a bed sheet like a toga.

"I got us more water darling," she told him eagerly, pointing to a platter placed on top of the dresser, with two cups and a not-quite-full picture of water, "Now you don't have to worry about one of us failing you my darling,"

"Oh wow," King replied as he looked over to Suzie holding a third cup, who didn't quite meet his gaze as she polished off what he doubted was her first cup of water, "How sweet of you," King accepted a cup and drank the best water in this life as Fae snuggled against him, planting her face firmly into the pillow of his lap so she could enjoy his scent in peace.

"Aren't you gonna ask?" Suzie waved her glass towards him and he smiled.

"Does it have anything to do with a guard named Benedict?" Suzie let out an odd noise before looking him in the eye firmly.

"You'd tell me if you could read my mind right?" She asked him suspiciously, "Because I have some nasty thoughts, but if you can see then I need to start trying harder if I want to give you ideas,"

"he offered me a deal for escape," King told Suzie simply, "I didn't like the payment he requested so I…terminated the project,"

"I'll go anyway with you baby," Fae's muffled voice called back, earning a laugh from King.

"The more I'm around her the more precious she becomes," he chuckled before looking at Suzie, "Are you in the mood for anything?" He motioned over to the dresser with his head as he spoke, "I noticed you eyeing the books,"

"I have been meaning to look them over," She bit her finger before sighing, "Oh I'm just not built to go at it every night, I'm sorry,"

"No worries," King assured her as he put his hands on Fae's shoulder and made her sit up, she looked at him in confusion before in one swift motion he pulled her toga down and freed her chest, "That's why I have Fae," King latched onto her without another word and Fae let out a moan before doing her best to do whatever her beloved was in the mood to do.

Suzie walked around them and grabbed a book before returning to the bed and starting its first page, its cover too damaged to make out a name, leaving King and Fae to toss their clothes aside as they rolled around on the floor.
